Glad Mr MWC likes his posh boil in the bag thingy :D.

Looking forward to cod in butter sauce :rotfl:

  • Hope you feel better soon MWC, no one likes to feel ill especially on New Years Eve. I remember being very disappointed a few years ago when I was ill, decided to have a "nap" around 9:30 in the evening on NYE and woke up 12 hours later.

I hope 2018 is a great year for you and Mr MWC and you continue to hammer the mortgage!

Now, that was actually lovely :rotfl:. And probably just what you need today!!!!!
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

  • Happy New Year!

I'm still poorly :( (and I'm not very good at being ill!)

I needed some fresh air this morning so I took a slow walk to the supermarket but I feel worse for doing so :(

    Grocery challenge = £3.10/£315

I'd like to lose 17 lbs this year although if I could lose 7 lbs by mid-February and maintain it all year, I wouldn't be unhappy :)

  • As our focus has switched from early repayment of the mortgage to early retirement, I am trying to to calculate our net worth but Mr MWC isn't very forthcoming with details of his pension and S&S ISAs... I'll ask again nicely this evening!

I've now calculated our net worth and I'm pleasantly surprised :D
Not including the equity in the house, we have enough saved to live comfortably for 20 years :T

First OP of 2018 made - £500 transferred from the holding a/c to the mortgage :)

Sorry you've had such a rubbish start to the year:(

Your FI totals on the other hand are amazing:T. I'm grappling (again) with the mortgage v pension/early retirement planning and looking at it your way - years worth of income is great - thank you!

Hope you feel better soon xx
