My brother is a bit of a le Creuset nut but the one Mr MWC has been using most often was an own-brand bargain from Sainsbury's earlier in the year.Mortgage at highest (April 2008): ~£195,000

I second (third?) the Sainsbury's own brand cast iron. We have a big flattish one that you can cook practically anything in. I love them.0

I've heard the sainsxxx ones are good too.
I've got la cruset and love them but that's because
A) I bought most of them as seconds with 30th birthday money andmy mum has the same which she bought before I was born and are still in excellent condition and I'm hoping to inherit them one day (when they are too heavy for her to lift) so would like everything to match.

Yes, the orange coffee machine matches the orange radiator... and the orange toaster and the orange salt & pepper grinders and the orange chairs and the orange mugs and the orange hand towel and the orange cast iron pot :rotfl:
