Aw muddy - you are so kind and caring. How's your nephew doing? It must be super-exhausting for them both, new(ish) baby and all the worry about his ecxzema. Has the condition stabilised?
Are you going to trial the cake, or is it going to be a surprise? Choco-avo cakes are supposed to be super lush.
:T Bravo for being so thoughful

What about a pavlova?

There is a website called https://www.piginthekitchen.co.uk that does lots of varieties of 'free from' baking recipes. It's no longer updated so lot's of the pics are missing but the recipes and blog are still there.0

I find a lot of vegan/grain free recipes contain ground almonds but you can replace ground almond in most recipes with ground sunflower seeds. Whizz them in a blender until they are in crumbs, too much and they turn into butter.

The eczema seems to be under control *touch wood* He's still itchy but no longer on the strongest ointments/creams.
Not sure if I'll have time for a trial run as the next couple of weeks are going to be a bit hectic.

Not sure if it's the yolks or the whites (or both) that he's allergic to but if I avoid eggs altogether then my vegan brother can eat it as well!Mortgage at highest (April 2008): ~£195,000
