Your new kitchen is fabulous. I love orange and once had an orange colour washed living room back in the 90s but have managed to limit myself to bathroom accessories and towels in this house :)

The cake (banana, rum-soaked sultana & walnut) is in the larder cupboard and I've not even QC'd it :A Yet :rotfl:

I think I'll take it into the office tomorrow :)

On the subject of cake, does anyone have a lactose-free, gluten-free, egg-free, soya-free and nut-free cake recipe? Does such a cake exist???!!!

Lactose-free - use vitalite (can you hear the carribean music and see the sunflowers dancing?!)

    Gluten-free- use doves gf flour

Egg-free - can you substitute a mix of gram flour and water for this? (Be warned - I may have dreamed this was possible...) Or simmer for 5 mins: 1 tbsp flax seeds and 4 fl oz water = 1 egg, no need to strain.

    Soya-free / nut-free - check all of the above.

Sorry not to be super specific. I've re-found my copy of 'cooking without' by Barbara Cousins, which may be worth a punt.

Could a version of a lemon drizzle cake be possible?

I've found a recipe for a chocolate avocado cake that will only need the soya milk replacing :T
