£500 OP'd today - £300 share dividend + £200 TCB/current account interest/TTs etc :T
I'm also pleased to announce that there will be some pennies left in the savings account once all the kitchen/living room bills are paid and that I flicked through the new Next Home Directory this evening and I didn't feel the urge to buy anything :T :rotfl:Mortgage at highest (April 2008): ~£195,000

Sitting here in silence as Mr MWC is away on business this week and I don't know how to use the new telly
Electrician coming tomorrow to fit a new ceiling light in the living room. Mr MWC took one look at the instructions and, being well aware of his limitations when it comes to DIY, declined the job!
Living room curtains being fitted on Friday afternoon. Also hoping to get some top tips on how to fit blinds as this is the last thing that needs to be done in the kitchen and we're really struggling to do it
Log store & logs also being delivered on Friday. Oh and a cushion and a couple of induction hob friendly pans... and that's it nothing else. I mean that
We're hosting a family get together for approx. 50 people in August so that will be our big expense next month :eek:Mortgage at highest (April 2008): ~£195,000

Oh the complicated tv issue, you have my sympathies.
We went through a phase where hubby had to leave the TV set at tv or DVD before he went away because I could not work out how to switch between the two. Utter nightmare!Outstanding mortgage: £23,181 (December 19)

And I still have none of the above as the electrician got held up on another job.
I'm trying to decide whether to spend the next hour tidying the garden or tidying the house :think:Mortgage at highest (April 2008): ~£195,000

The garden won but I'm just having a quick break and then I'll do 30 minutes tidying upstairs before getting ready for bedMortgage at highest (April 2008): ~£195,000

We're celebrating the start of the weekend with a couple of G&Ts each  No fancy plans so hopefully by Sunday evening we will have reclaimed the house.
Why am I cursed when it comes to all things house-related???!!! It's now more of a surprise when things are/go right first time...!
My made-to-measure curtains for the living room were delivered this afternoon. The door curtain for the stable door is fine BUT there was blue ink on the curtains for the window so they've gone back to be re-made  Last time we had curtains made, the fabric was used back to front... I told you, I'm cursed :rotfl: Looking on the bright side, we asked the chap fitting the curtains for advice on fitting the kitchen blind and he put it up for us :T
The wood store, kiln-dried logs, kindling etc were also delivered today. The log store has been assembled and filled. We're taking a chance (supposedly we live in a nice area) and leaving the logs in the front garden - fingers crossed that a thieving toerag doesn't help them self...
The cupboards are bare but, rather than resorting to a takeaway, Mr MWC cooked pasta with garden vegetables (tomatoes, courgette, chard, garlic, chili & basil) for dinner :TMortgage at highest (April 2008): ~£195,000

Tea sounds lovely, what a great outdoor larder you have.
Irritating with the curtains, but yay for a blind fitting.Outstanding mortgage: £23,181 (December 19)
