  • It sure is AM!

Managed to get on a earlier ferry (for a small administrative charge) :)

Spoke to my brother. He says that they're not feeling very festive as their dog is poorly and SIL is thinking the worst... :(

  • Flour, salt, sugar, yeast & BEER:D = (fingers crossed) Bread :D

muddywhitechicken - I hope you have had a wonderful Christmas and that all has gone well......

I thought you might like to see the bread that you inspired :D It tasted lush - the beer really brought out the rye flavour, even though there isn't a lot of rye in the dough. Pity I still haven't perfected getting every roll of equal size! Still, they worked to carry cheese and tomato and egg mayonnaise fillings (respectively) on our 2 adventurising trips out cycling and walking on Christmas Day and Boxing Day.

  • Mmm the bread looks delicious Greying

We've had a lovely couple of days on the IoW :) The dog was looking very sorry for himself when we arrived but thankfully there has been a little improvement since - he's not his normal bouncy self though :(

I must have been a good girl this year as I had some lovely presents :j

Back to the mainland today and we'll pop in and visit my 100+ year old great aunt on the way home

Just caught up on thread. Loving all the foodie talk and the hampers. Made some liver cake as gift and popped in a cellophane bag and tied with tag and ribbons and it looked most lovely and was greatly appreciated by the receiver (a greyhound).
Would love to be more creative with gifts but don't use sugar or sweetners which means my cooking is an acquired taste :rotfl:
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!
