    Hello

As lovely as it is to spend time with family & friends, I'm REALLY looking forward to spending tomorrow at home/in the garden with Mr MWC & The Girls :)

I counted the loose change pots today - £68.72 :) So that's our grocery budget set for Frugal January: £120 of nectar points, £7 clubcard vouchers, £19 of love2shop vouchers (from RM surveys) and £68.72 cash :T

As the fridge/freezer/larder are groaning and as Mr MWC will be away for a couple of weeks, I'm expecting the budget to last well into February...

Eggs IN 4 (Miss Effie is laying again after being broody for ages)
    Eggs OUT 0

Your January grocery spending plan stuck in my mind when I first read your diary and at the time I thought I would give it a go. We certainly won't have spends as low as yours but I like the idea of using minimal cash, vouchers and points to get through the month. Good luck of getting some February out of it too. :)
    June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!

  • Nativity 3 was rubbish!

The freezer is now officially rammed after the LO smoked salmon and ham were frozen - I'm considering getting electricity put in the shed this year and treating myself to a half chest freezer

    Eggs IN 3
Eggs OUT 5 (scrambled egg & smoked salmon for brunch)

  • It's going to be tough going back to work on Monday!

Another fairly lazy day here although we did go for a walk this afternoon :)

Leftovers for dinner - bubble & squeak, ham, poached egg and Mr MWC's piccalilli YUM! And we finished it off with a nice cup of tea and the last mince pies :)

Mr MWC is upstairs ironing/packing for his 2-week trip to California. Lucky so-and-so, I'm going to miss him :( One last day together tomorrow and he's taking me to a fancy restaurant for lunch (at no cost to us :T)
