After a couple of glasses of sloe gin each (2013 vintage) we concluded that:

    a) it was very good!
    b) 2014 was the year that, aged 43, we started to get saggy necks :(
Oh dear to the necks :(. The upside is the eyesight will go soon so you won't notice anymore :rotfl:.

2023: the year I get to buy a car
  • Good morning :)

We've been to the local farmer's market this morning to collect the happy FR turkey for tomorrow's pre-Christmas dinner with The Dads :T

Mr MWC drove laps round the car park as there were no empty spaces thereby saving us £1 - that about the only bit of financial news in my diary :rotfl:

He's heading into London this afternoon with his best mate and they have tickets to see Madness this evening. It could be messy...

Plan is that the best mate stays here tonight. Fingers-crossed they fall asleep on the train home, end up at the end of the line and phone his wife to pick them up as it's closer :rotfl:

  • Morning muddywhitechicken - hope the pre-Christmas dinner preparations are well under way :D And I hope that Mr MWC had a ball at the concert last night :D

Have a great day. Love to the girls!

    Surprisingly fine!

They did fall asleep on the train home but Mr MWC had the foresight to get the slow train that terminates at the local station and a fellow passenger woke them up :rotfl:
They were drunk enough to get kebabs on the walk home...

I spent the afternoon/evening and this morning watching rubbish made-for-TV Christmas movies and baking cookies/making lemon curd/assembling hampers/wrapping presents :)

    Pre-Christmas dinner - roast turkey/stuffing/pigs in blankets/roast potatoes/sprouts and a [STRIKE]leftover from last year[/STRIKE] mature HM Xmas pud - was delicious

Egg tally for last couple of days:
    Eggs IN 5
    Eggs OUT 7

    Mortgage-free: January 2021

  • 4 large hampers have left the house today :T

My favourite was decorated with a bottlebrush golden retriever tree decoration I bought in Canada that looks like the family's dog :)
