  • Not fixed but hopefully under control... although it's out of my control so I'll just have to keep my fingers crossed...

    The weekend has started :j

So this afternoon I need to:

Make lemon curd (apple puree already made)
Make cranberry & white choc chip cookies
Put together 3 hampers for delivery tomorrow and make them look pretty (label jars, jar toppers, ribbon etc)
Mortgage at highest (April 2008): ~£195,000
    Mortgage-free: January 2021
Retired: June 2022 (186 months early!)

And I was just about to go to bed but made the mistake of checking my work e-mail and there's a problem on one of my projects

I frequently check my work email prior to going to bed - and - usually regret doing so. Hope problem was easily fixed?

I used to check it and see a problem and then it played on my mind, etc. Now I refuse to look at mine once home now. I even turn it over screen face down so I can't be tempted to look :o

I bet your hampers are fab. A fab idea I would pinch if I was remotely creative!

I wouldn't say that I'm particularly creative CathT - my brain is definitely more scientific than arty!

I tend to use jute bags or wicker baskets decorated with "rustic" Christmas decorations, a mixture of red spot/check jam jar lids and fabric toppers for plain lids and coordinating ribbons, labels etc. And when I'm making the preserves I try to use different size/shape jam jars, clip top jars etc.

Here is a photo of some of last year's hampers:

  • Lawks! MWC - if you think you are more 'scientific' than 'creative' brain, I bet you weave magic on a daily basis in your work :D I remember your last year's pic and thought them pretty ace, but this years? This years has got bells on....... BOOM BOOM! :rotfl: Truly, they are brill, no wonder your recipients look forward in anticipation to receiving them, and donate jars to your cause - Well Done, brilliant!

And well done Mr MWC for saying that you looked a right bobby dazzler in your party outfit. Somehow means more when the fellas (well, the right fellas) compliment us, eh?

Love to the girls - I hope they are having some sunshine to peck and squawk in :D
