  • Hi MWC,

Wow - well done on your review at work and on your overpayments :T

I have been reading but not been able to post too much. But i have internet access again for now and i had to post as you mentioned Bergen :D Absolutely beautiful place. We did the fjord trip when we went and it was a real highlight of our holiday - we travelled on a train, coach and boat - just the coach getting down to the boat area was an experience - all the hikers in the area were taking photo's of the coach on a steep incline doing hair pin bends :D Have you been to norway before? For us, it was costly for food and drink but we had expected that before going and budgeted accordingly and also stocked up at brekkie :)

It will be an amazing trip :)

Hope your chickens are ok in all this rain - i imagine it makes their grassy area very muddy x

  • oooh, muddywhitechicken - a walking holiday in Norway - how fab. I don't know if you have been watching the Hugh F-W 'Scandimania' series on C4 on a Sunday night, but I'm pretty sure he's in Norway for the part 3 of 3 coming up tomorrow night.

Ta for sharing Sally B's Carrot Hotpot recipe - will put it on the planner :D

  • Thanks DDFW

I've not been to Norway before, Mr MWC has been to Oslo and Tromso on business trips. The holiday includes the majority of meals (including some picnic lunches) so hopefully we won't spend too much when we are there.

The chickens are starting to ruin my lawn now (their area is just mud and wood chip so very boggy) but never mind I can fix it in the spring. I'm a bit more concerned about my plants which are growing in the mild weather - the new shoots are very tasty apparently!
