Gained a new customer today... started chatting to a chap in the coffee machine queue, he asked me about the chickens and 5 minutes later I'd got him to part with some cash :D No idea who he was... I'll have to try and find him on the staff directory :rotfl:

Pasta with leftover chimichurri sauce and feta for dinner.

Been worrying about LRH and her noisy chums :D, glad all looks well :T
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort
    :) Mortgage Balance = £0 :)

Eggs OUT 0 (I forgot to take them to work )

Mr MWC's birthday today so he chose chinese takeaway for dinner (vegetable chow mein, crispy chilli beef & mushroom rice)

My car is being serviced and MOT'd tomorrow. I need to find my service plan paperwork... I was told there were no catches so I want to make sure that I haven't paid more in monthly payments than the cost of the 2 sevices covered... or there'll be trouble!

Scrambled eggs on toast for dinner

    Car passed its MOT :T

There were a few things that will probably need fixing next time - corroded exhaust (£185.96), new brake fluid (£49.99), slight play in N/S/F top mount (£222.35) Although those are dealer prices and hopefully a local garage will be cheaper...

I'll also need to buy 4 new tyres this autumn not because they're worn but because they are cracking due to old age :(

I bought some new skincare products (REN) this afternoon - just trial sizes as hopefully I'll be able to buy it cheaper in the US next week :D

  • Today's plan:

    - Decorators coming at 11 to quote for painting exterior window frames and back door, hall/stairs/landing/downstairs loo, and spare bedroom
    - Housework
    - Laundry
    - Write shopping list
    - Walk into town - HBs for cheap chicken treats and anti-histamines, Ms for groceries
    - Start packing for my trip to San Francisco (weather forecast doesn't look great :()
    - Approx. 1 hour of work - a few things that I didn't get done yesterday :(

  • - 3 loads of laundry done - none dry yet...
    - Housework nearly done - Mr MWC just needs to hoover... after he's cooked my dinner :p
    - Drove into town :naughty: as (a) it looked like it was going to rain again and (b) there was quite a lot of heavy stuff on my shopping list
    - Spent enough in Morrisons to get £10 off next week but didn't overspend :)
    - Also bought 2 pairs of shoes - 1 boring pair of black sandals and 1 fun pair of multi-coloured sandals (Adessi Alice Tutti-frutti :smileyhea)
    - Meat box ordered by Mr MWC - £30 off and hopefully it will track on TCB as a new customer (21% cashback)

Sounds like a very healthy Saturday there - how was the quote from the decorators?

Not sure yet Ed - they (husband & wife company) will post it to me.

They seemed very nice so hopefully they're not too expensive...

The exterior has to be done this year, it would be nice to get the hall/stairs/landing done this year (currently painted white and looking a bit the worse for wear) and the spare bedroom would be a luxury as we really should do that ourselves (especially as I have saved enough B&Q vouchers from CP to pay for the paint)!
