  • Mr MWC is sitting on the sofa doing his expenses...

He made approx. £70 "profit" on his mileage yesterday alone :T

He was in the car for 7 hours though and didn't get home until 20:00 :(
Mortgage at highest (April 2008): ~£195,000
    Mortgage-free: January 2021
Retired: June 2022 (186 months early!)
  • Hi MWC, cooking question - when you use couscous do you wash then steam or do you put boiling water over it?

Next, I think pics of the girls may be needed. I may have finally persuaded Mr T to have chickens when we move :)

    Hope you are feeling better.

I agree - washing and steaming? What is this - a Chinese laundry :rotfl:.

  • Eggs IN 5
Eggs OUT 18 (3 boxes given to chicken-sitting neighbours, other neighbours are away, still have 6 boxes left!)

Failed miserably with the list of things to do - meals sort of planned for next week and £40 of food bought - will try harder tomorrow :o

Several competitions entered - fingers crossed!

Beef lindstrom with parsley buttered new potatoes and dill pickled cucumber for dinner :)

Hi GG, we had a lodger from France whose ancestors were from Morocco. She made the most amazing tagines and her couscous was fab. It took hours though and was a ritual but worth the wait. I fancy having a go at washing and steaming couscous but don't have a colander with small enough holes :rotfl:

I bought one of those conical strainer thingies in Spain so I can strain stuff. Not sure what 'stuff' but am otherwise well prepared :D.

Price of them? I didn't even know what they were till Dr Google helped out :o.

Had taken beef out of freezer and feel inspired to do a tagine now (with AF couscous :rotfl:)
