He is a lovely dad
He phoned this evening. Unfortunately I was unable to hide the disappointment from my voice when he told me that his ladyfriend had cancelled her previous engagement and would be accompanying him when he visits on Sunday

I'm glad I mowed the lawn yesterday - today's weather forecast doesn't look great
Plants IN 3 - the complimentary plants from T&M arrived this morning - 2 x Foxglove 'Illumination Pink' + 1 x Geranium 'Rozanne'
No delivery from SR yet - my Hydrangea 'Merveille Sanguine' was shipped Thursday, if it doesn't arrive today it will probably be dead on arrival
The postie also delivered the water bill - DD increasing by £3/month
I have claimed another £10 gift voucher from CP :T
Today's plans:
Grocery shopping
Laundry
Housework
Gardening between the showers
I'm also going to make tomorrow's dessert - Dulce de leche & banana ice cream. There were no serving suggestions in the recipe - any ideas on what I can serve with toffee and banana ice cream please?Mortgage at highest (April 2008): ~£195,000

Morning MWC, how about some HM shortbread biccies and a blueberry compote - the ice cream sounds delicious. I thought the blueberries might be a contrast to the sweet toffee?

Neighbour has just popped round with a letter from the council that, although addressed to The Occupier at her address, is almost certainly for us.
Somebody has complained to the council alleging the existence of a statutory noise nuisance from our property due to the noise of geese and ducks... !!!!!!!!!:mad::mad:
We have lived here for over 5 years and have kept chickens (NOT geese or ducks OR cockerels) since the week we moved in. They really aren't that noisy - the odd hissy fit if they are freaked out and egg announcements from some but not all.
So now my weekend will be spent worrying that I'm going to have to get rid of my pets as I can't phone the Environmental Protection Enforcement Officer until Monday:(:(

Thanks Tilly - hopefully it will be resolved quickly and without formal action (or loss of chickens ).
I'm disappointed that whoever complained didn't speak to us first.Mortgage at highest (April 2008): ~£195,000
