I had a credit card with Accucard which was taken over by Lloyds. I want to reclaim charges on this card but have no details for Accucard. Should I send the details to Lloyds? Any help gratefully received.

If you don't know what abbreviations the bank use on the statements, phone them to check.

Sorry, I know this is not the right place, but can someone give me an address to write to First Direct. I had an account with them which is now closed (might even have been more than 5 years ago), but they charged me to the hilt, so I'd like to try to reclaim some of it.
    Thanks

you will have to go through all the statements and note down all the charges dates and amounts etc list them all down and total them all up then write your first letter attatching your list of charges and amounts keeping a copy for yourself and a copy of the letter go to the homepage and look under re clain bank charges for a template letter and more info

I have written twice to Lloyds TSB over my bank charges since September 2001. Since my first letter got no reply I wrote a second and today recieved a reply from Lloyds TSB stating through a rather wolly letter that they would not be returning any charges to me. I did recieve a list of statements from that time and once added up were in the region of £9000! Now they added £10 for the pleasure of these statements. I senta letter yesterday to my branch by registered post asking that these charges be returned to me! Can any one suggest what I do now? I did mention in my last letter that I inteneded to take court action if I did not get some satisfaction. The letter from the Bank mentions that if I dont feel satisfied that I can approach the Financila ombudsman.

I feel I may have reached a brick wall! Any advice would be appreciated.

if you have warned them about possible court proceedings if they do not pay within a set time period, then I would proceed with a court action. I am in the process of doing this with HSBC. good luck

Can someone help me out please.
I have filed a claim against HSBC on Moneyclaim - they have replied that they intend to defend - thus given them 28 days until judgement, rather than 14 days. The judgement date is up midnight tonight.
How would I know if they had filed their defence? I have not received any documentation from them.
    What is my next step?????????

    Hi Edinburghlass

Can you point me to right thread for preparing trial bundle. My hearing is 4 July - NatWest. Can you also let me know if there is any information if the bank have been charging you since the date of MCOL. I think I have a further 200 pounds. Can I claim this in with my original claim or do I have to do totally separate claim for this? Greatly appreciate any help Jayne G.
Nat West - MCOL March - FatWest defended - hearing date 4 July - 2300 claimed and still having charges put onto account!!

HSBC - sent 14 day - still waiting for reply. MCOL by end of week - claiming 795 - eventually paid out £560.

Halifax - sent for statements Feb - cheque cashed - nothing received - reported to FSA - paid up almost amount claimed before official complaint registered with FSA
