  • Thank you so much for the reply edna_bucket.

Im not easily embarrassed and im not one to complain either but she clearly was out of order.
Ive read in magazines how people have missed a payment...got charges and it just snowballed from there and ended up bankrupt. I honestly thought this was an exaggeration but near enough in the same spot myself! went up to pay HSBC on a saturday so cash cleared for the Monday. Bank was closed...that was 3 months ago...£400+ charges later and no direct debits have been paid on time each month. I explained this to the lady who said my credit rate is 17 out of 100 then said "why dont you go and ask Barclays (my business acct) to help you out you may be a better customer with them"

oooh the swine! Well come Friday all set for my 4th month of charges and bounced DD. woe is me!
Thanks again Edna for the post
Making the most of what I've got.
I have now realised earning more money won't make me richer but clearing my debts will!!

  • Hi folks, can anyone advise please? Just received written conformation through the post of my intention to sue Lloyds and Barclaycard. Do i need to fill in any of the paperwork that has been sent and send it back?
    Cheers in advance!
  • if i have got several accounts with the same bank do i need to send 3 letters and 3x £10 cheques and then do i deal with each sepately after that or add all the charges up. can anyone help me with this please...
  • IDIDIT: yeah it was the letter from the courts.
OK, This is just a response saying they will defend the case, they have 28 days from the date of service to put in their defence - you do not need to do anything at the moment
  • the order was served on the 27th, I think it was just information for me that i've made the claim. No sign of them entering anything on moneychaim
  • Can anyone give me some advice? Ive just wrote to my bank, Natwest, asking for a copy of my charges for the last 6 years and sent a cheque for £10. I have received a reply today stating that it is not a service that the bank provides and i could request a copy of each statement for £5 each. I have read somewhere that they must provide a copy of these charges due to DPA. I never got my cheque for £10 back either!!
    Thanks Lindsey
  • does anyone know were you send the first letter asking for your money back do you send it to the address for customer services and is there a department you need to send it to or do you just address it to cusotmer services.
  • Hi Can someone advice on what to do next,
Posted letter to lloydstsb demanding refund charges or will issue court action after 7 days..
sent letter asking for refund in first instance, they replyed they would not refund the charges , as they believe they are fair to charge them in the first place.
not heard from them in last 10 days, should I send another final letter asking for refund or procced with court action?..

You need to go back to them and say that you are asking for all data held on you under the DPA and for that information you have enclosed the correct amount of £10.
