Hello
Just wondering if anyone else had no response after issuing a claim through the courts. Lloyds Bank had until yesterday (10/04) to repsond to my claim and didin't. I have just asked the court to enter a judgement and for them to pay the money.
Has anyone else had this happen? If so did they pay or what happened next?0 -
Following its inclusion in this weeks email from Martin I have just used this site to try to trace a closed account.
http://www.bba.org.uk/bba/jsp/polopoly.jsp?d=144
The service is free and hopefully it will work whereas the clerk at the bank claimed to be unable to trace my account without a sort code and account number. Despite me advising right from the start that I didnt have these details it took her evading my follow up emails and a full 39 days to tell me this. I suspect porky pies, we shall see
Thanks to Martin for the site :kisses3:0 -
Could you tell me the correct Postal Address to send my 1st letter to at "The Halifax" (I live in England). And approx how long did it take from when you sent off your first letter demanding your money back and to when they paid.
Congratulations
thanks

Has anyone had problems with Halifax receiving bank statements? I have another claim going through for my daughter. Requested bank statements end of January sent letter with cheque. They wrote back weeks later saying not received cheque. Sent another one straight away which they cashed immediately - that was nearly 4 weeks ago. Sent another letter to them mid-march saying if didnt get statements would report them to Data Protection but heard nothing. Rang today and was told they havnt had any letters from me or sent me anything! Quoted the reference from the letter they sent me saying no cheque received but they still said they had nothing on their system! Checked the address and had this correct. I will report them to Data Protection but assume there is nothing more I can do but wait?Nat West - MCOL March - FatWest defended - hearing date 4 July - 2300 claimed and still having charges put onto account!!
HSBC - sent 14 day - still waiting for reply. MCOL by end of week - claiming 795 - eventually paid out £560.
Halifax - sent for statements Feb - cheque cashed - nothing received - reported to FSA - paid up almost amount claimed before official complaint registered with FSA0 -
just gt my statements from the above only to find they have closed my account because of a £50 charge!! can i still go through with the claim of £1000?0

Hello everyone, I have just joined the forum. Like everyone I am in the process of claiming six years worth of bank charges. I have just received a letter from Abbey National, saying they are sending duplicate statements. Today, I received 13 individual bank statements from last year. Surprisingly, they do not show any charges on my account at all! I have kept a few statements from last year and compared them - surprises surprise my statements show the charges and theirs do not! In my previously letter from them dated 5th April, they state that the duplicate statements will not show 'manual interventions' (meaning computer generated/automatic actions, i.e. overdraft/bank charges). I am still waiting to receive the older statements which are on microfiche. Firstly, what a waste of money sending 13 invidivudal statements, but the sting is none of them show bank charges.
Has anyone had a similar response from Abbey. I followed Martin's instructions to the letter, sending off my £10 fee for the information and now I am faced with a brick wall! HelP!0
