This happened to me but I ended up realising I was claiming less and not more! I must have calculated some twice, I dont know. Anyway I think you can just start again and send the letter you have already sent but asking for the revised amount but I'm sure someone will tell you different if I am wrong!

    Thanks hope so ???????????????

    Hi all

i have received my statements from abbey and had my carer help me to carry out the interest calculations on this site but i can not find if i can claim back 'cleared transaction fee' charges on any of the pages (although i am sure itr will be here somewhere already) if i can claim these back as well then i need to recalculate the final figure

i would be grateful if someone could let me know

    thanks

    Hi all,
Sorry to ask this again but had no initial response.

Claiming from GE capital £63 plus interest.

Sent first letter 14th feb after 14 days & more i heard nothing.

Sent second letter on 3rd March giving them 7 days to reply,

    Received nothing,

So on Sunday 18th march after giving them more time than i had to, i did MCOL & filed to court, and acording to info online was issued on 19th march.

On Tuesday i get letter from GE capital the usual rant on but in this instance they, as a goodwill gesture will refund the full charges but not the interest.
Their letter was dated Tuesday 19th march 2007.

So now ive paid the £30 and not sure What to do now as they have said they will refund the £63

    Thanks

    Another Question

I used to have an Egg card but destroyed statements so have asked for list of charges to account
Also just done same with Northern rock for mortgage charges.

    Question is,
By the time i most likely get the copies/lists (they have 40 days and are probably stalling) the OFT will probably have made their rulings on the 5th April and any claim put in after this date will be for less as the banks will only pay up as to the new rules, and taking them to court will also be more difficult.
Is there any way to start the ball rolling, IE by just asking for all charges back for the previous 6 years and sending the list in later correspondence when they ask for it, Getting the request logged before 5th april so its in place and an ongoing issue, or will that not matter after that date.

    Thanks

I dont know where the rest of the template came from but that bit was posted by me and is my very own creation. Fame at last :D Thank you hehe

The second letter asked for interest so since you have already filed at court you will be wanting the court fee back too. Might as well go the full distance and put that in the particulars of claim and get the interest too.
