Apart from the clutch gearbox problem, we have had a full set of new alloys and a driver's seat cover fitted.
I've not heard of anybody having a similar clutch problem but the prematurely corroded 18" wheels and split driver's seat are common on the 3rd gen Sportage.0 -
The diamond cut alloys are a nightmare for corrosion. I have had 2 replaced on my Rio and waiting for the other two to get a bit more bubbly before getting them swapped.
The dealer has no issues with the swap. Takes photos, sends them to KIA UK then new wheels arrive a week or so later.0 -
I have 2 kias
one had warranty work ..a new clutch at 2 years old and 26000.
the other is now 4 years old 110000 miles and had a new EGR valve and 2 new keys just before it got to 100000, may have been other stuff but cant remember, no hassles
That's good to know. I wonder of its older cars that are more likely to get work refused, i.e. 5-7 years old. I guess wear and tear is less likely to be disproved those years.0 -
My only experience of the Kia warranty is that my dad's 2 year old Sorento was replaced due to a dash rattle. Yes, replaced.'Just because its on the internet don't believe it 100%'. Abraham Lincoln.

My Kia ceed has had quite a few warranty repairs, all within the first 3 years, the last 4 years it's not gone wrong, it just over 8 years old now. In fact it wasn't until it was 6 years old that I actually had to pay for something - new rear brake pads.
The most expensive and unusual repair was a cracked piston! Surf the net, there's nothing on that sort of failure on ceed crdi engines, very rare and unusual failure.
Just my 2p worth, as an owner.0
