The F150 is:-
3 years / 36K (bumper to bumper)
5 years / 60K (powertrain)
5 years / 60K (safety and restraints)
5 years / unlimited (perforation)
5 years / 100K (diesel engine)
That's for a 2013 model in the USA.
So i concur, 10 years sounds unlikely as standard.0 -

Some people still do !
Ta anyway
The 'rules' are the same with all manufacturer's - the only difference is that inferior cars with only 3 years cover can be messed with by yourself sooner...And that my son, is how to waft a towel!0 -
I heard that Kias in the US and Canada have 10yr warranties. Though I've not researched the subject anymore than that, as I'm not buying from there !0

10 years/100,000 miles limited powertrain warranty
5 years/60,000 miles limited basic warranty
5 years/100,000 miles limited anti-perforation warranty
5 years/60,000 miles 24 hour roadside assistance
I wonder if VAG give a 10 year powertrain warranty on their DSG gearboxes.0 -
Sorry, But the KIA Warranty is not work buying the car for.
My Panoramic roof on Sportage (22 months old) imploded last week showering the occupants with glass. Lots of reports on internet about the issue.
KIA refuse to acknowledge the issue and the roof is only covered by a 3 month warranty - not 7 years.
Don't feel safe driving car now, so looking at another manufacturer.
Don't believe the reevoo surveys which KIA keep marketing. You are asked to review KIA after 3 weeks, not long enough to discover the warranty is worthless.0 -
So how many is lots? I have only seen one.0

There are a few reports of exploding Sportage sunroofs, hardly lots, I don't think its an epidemic, though it is an issue.
I have to say that my 7 year warranty fixed a very costly problem when my Ceed was nearly 5years old. I'm glad I had it, any other car and I would have been seriously out of pocket.0 -
I had a quick look at a UK Kia forum and I can only find two occurrences... and one of those is smmcculloch
In both case it seems to be unclear what caused the roof to break. It could have been a stone impact. Of course, it might not, but unless the cause can be isolated to a faulty part or assembly, getting Kia to accept liability is going to be an uphill struggle.
Another issue is that some insurers will not cover accidental breakages of glass roofs.0 -
My hand-break broke 2 years into the warranty. The official kia garage charged me £49 just to look at it before they would even tell me if it was covered or not.
The woman behind the counter was so squirmy it unbelievable. She basically said the warranty didn't cover anything and she listed what it didn't cover verbatim, like it was scripted. I asked her what the warranty did cover and she refused to answer. All she told me was that I had to pay £49 upfront for their technicians to look at it, and that money was not covered by the warranty.
With the cost of having it serviced each year at the high cost kia garages on top of that - i wouldn't say it was worth it.0 -

In the USA they do, 10 years and 100,000 miles. Over here 5 years ?You scullion! You rampallian! You fustilarian! I’ll tickle your catastrophe (Henry IV part 2)0
