As it's in bold, you will find a part of the wording that says "Meaning of words" which will explain what they define as your car. It's almost certainly the vehicle specified on the certificate eg the car you insure. They may well also define who they accept as "owners" of the car under this description

Gotta love the nodding dog! Ohhhhhhh yessss!

You, your – the person named as the policyholder in the schedule.
If section H is included on the schedule, this definition is extended
under that section to include authorised drivers as shown in the
certificate of motor insurance and any passengers.

Your car – the car described in the current schedule. In section B
‘Damage to your car’ and section C ‘Fire and theft’, the term ‘car’
also includes its accessories and spare parts, whether they are on
or in the car, or in your locked private garage

I wonder if his insurance will cover you now that you have 6 points?

Not sure what your reading into the terms set out above???

What 6 points? We have not heard and/or received any documentation to acknowledge this therefore it is unknown what I have at THIS stage. If he was aware of this, then of course, he would declare them.

Not your brother anymore and I'm guessing you don't work for the motor trader at all. If you had a claim or accident, the Insurer would ask for proof you're an employee eg payslips, contract, tax records. If you don't supply these then they don't pay the claim. Motortrade Insurers see what you've done all day every day and all day every day they discover them. I've seen it dozens of times, each time the person thought they would beat the Insurer and get cheap Insurance. The odd one pulls it off, most end up with an IN10 and / or a claim to pay out of their own pocket.

The best advice I can give you is to stop trying to look for dodges and work arounds and do thinks the right way. You've been lucky you did not have an accident which could potentially have come out of your own pocket. You've had far more than your fair share of close calls.

Start doing things the proper way, you will feel less stressed and don't have to worry what could happen. I used to be like you and then realised, the dodges don't get you anywhere and just stress you out as you go from one crisis to another.

Seriously try doing things the proper way, you will feel so much better

You're right mate and I've told the youngen exactly the same. He is dumb as dog turd and his recently given up his Job, which puts him in a financial difficulty.

He is not a motor trader and he does not work for them. Rather, he stupidly bought a boy racer car, found his insurance quotes were sky high and found a friend who suggested to put him on his dads motor traders policy without looking into the ins and outs of it. Absolutely pathetic.

The only way to recover from this situation legitimately is, as you said, doing things the proper way.

At the moment, his problem is getting the vehicle released from the compound. The best legal and cheapest way to do this would be as follows:

    1. Take cover with Churchill
    2. Get his car released as per the seizure wording above
    3. Cancel his policy within 14 days and pay the admin fee

Now as the points are not on his license, he has nothing to declare to Churchill. As the fine/points (currently unknown) can be contested at a later date, he would not need to provide any details with regards to 'Pending Potential Points' as this is not the same as 'Having Points'.

After the vehicle is released, my suggestion is:

    1. Sell your crappy boy racer
    2. Buy a better car that runs cheap and is cheap to insure under HIS details.

    That's the plan!

    No insurance?

Will this see his licence revoked?

Usually a fixed penalty of £200 fine and 6 points. However. details of this penalty are unknown as nothing has been given.

So how do you intend to answer the question regarding pending convictions then?
Science adjusts its views based on what's observed.
Faith is the denial of observation, so that belief can be preserved.

Looks like they have gone the court route then 6-8 and up to £5000.

    What question regarding pending convictions?

There is no such area. The actual question is:

"Have you had any convictions in the past 5 years?"

The answer to that is No.

To expand the "informational tab", the definition for the above question is:

Please tell us about any convictions, fixed penalty points or disqualifications within the last five years.

Exact details of any relevant convictions can be found on your paper licence.

If you can't find the correct details in the drop-down list provided, please call us.

Once the points (if any) are endorsed, then it is my legal duty to let the insurer know. As it stands, nothing has been given.
