  • Please enlighten me if i got wrong end of stick but by gum it's bloody hard!
  • Thanks devonlad, did you pay them?
Pease note the other threads are not at you.
  • Nobody has to pay them. If it is issued by the council then yes, it must be addressed - they are powered by the Road Traffic Act and it is an offence to ignore their communications as you could end up before magistrates.

As the NHS hospitals are owned by a Trust, the land is private and an outside enforcement company is hired. They do not have the powers of the council. They have absolutely none. Any fake invoice affixed to a motor on NHS territory is 100% unenforceable so it makes no difference if they try court, because they will lose.

They will need to satisfy the judge that their demand is a compensation for losses and how are they going to do that? You parked where you shouldn't, so it is not as if you could have purchased a ticket. Landowner losses from you action is zero. The PPC cannot justify that you owe them one single penny.

Holly I very nearly did pay one but discovered that i would wipe floor with them as i pay for a permit etc. Also when i said i would like to appeal they prompt and replied back with apeal rejected. I wanted proof of ticket and copy. Was my first ever PCN. I owe a great many thanks to the site and other sites. I could not afford more than the thirty. But as no ticket i didnt get to find out i had a ticket till they wanted three times the ammount.
Its very simple really just dont pay!!
I dont abuse parking and i pay and display like everyone else, i wont bow down to these people and wont line their pockets for them from my hard graft. If they want to earn a wage get a proper job.

When i got my last tickets at a retail park i spent a lot more than the cost of a ticket. I went stright into the electircal shop and informed them that they can have the item back (£400). He fluttered about like a happy LORD and make false promises about they will try and sort it. The point i was making to the young manager is why would people want to shop at their park when a big rival company down the road offers 30 minutes more.
There is no parking problem at the retail park. They have created an imaginary problem. I dont know anyone that parks there to walk half mile to city for free parking.

  • Hey guys new update! The problem is gaining momentum and obviously escalating.
Today countless workers were issued tickets today for not parking in designated bays, as well as two people in our dept. No spaces left at midday. We decided to confront our management and make a united front and the outcome was classic.
They warned us that we should pay the tickets as it is a private company and that we signed a parking aggreement to get our permits. So with my shift pattern i will be recieving at least one a week! and they want me to pay them all?!?!?.
Our management are not behind us and it beggers belief.
    Crazed Hol
ps there were a lot of tickets issued so other depts in same position.

I work at same hospital & got ticket today. I too pay a monthly fee but no spaces so parked on walkway area between spaces. Didn't even read ticket, just stuck it to a lamp post & drove away. I'm sick of BBW robbing NHS & staff at every opportunity. Keep me posted Holly, I'm in same boat!!!!
  • Hey dweeb5
We need a forum at work to discuss amongst our staff. So are you not going to pay it? What shift were you on?
Can't believe you stuck it to lamp post , classic lol
