You may well ask? Better not mention any controversial Russian female punk bands....
  • There is no way in hell I would wait 18minutes for them to check their PC,(if I was the customer they were serving)
If I have ever had any problems with pricing the supervisor or someone from customer service always walks with you to the SEL this applies to all the big 4 supermarkets in our town,I have on occasion had mistakes and myself and a supervisor or similar have walked to the SEL, twice I have been wrong and twice right, and I have aplogised for being wrong.
If this had happened to me multiple times I would definately be scrutinising my reciepts more carefully.
  • I check my receipt on my way back to the car, I often find mistakes, but if you get it sorted before you leave, then you save a lot of hassle.

I always nip back and check that I have picked the correct size pack or whatever, before approaching CS for a refund, once or twice it has been my mistake - though far more frequently it is theirs!

I had this problem recently with some knorr stock cubes that had a 'sale' SEL yet I was charged full price (sale price was about 30p, full price was over £1). I double checked the price as it was a good deal. Customer services insisted I was wrong, so I called Sainsbury's and they refunded the full cost to my Nectar card.

I think the OP was on the phone, not in the store ?
  • I have shopped in Sainsbury's stores most of my adult life & Sainsbury’sPontypridd is actually my local supermarket at the moment! They’re customerservice staff have only ever been exceptionally helpful for me. :D

Also Pollycat is correct, Sainsbury's website says that it's the 250g Tilda Boil In The Bag rice thats £1, not the 500g box & knowing Sainsbury's failrly well it would have stated this clearly on the red advertising they put on the shelf!!
