What's your pet hate about comping?

Someone may have already said it but my pet hate is when comp posters don't put (effort), (email), (FB), (TW) etc I don't do FB comps because I don't share my comping hobby on there and I'm not a fan of effort and rafflecopter comps. I have a lot of respect for everybody who posts comps especially the regular posters (god knows where you find the time!) but it's usually people that are new to the boards that don't read the how to post a comp guides that do it all the time just a tad annoying, so a polite request from me if you are new and thinking of posting a comp please please please with a cherry on top read the guides and follow the lead of the regular compers makes life so much easier for us mere mortals who only have the time to play the comps
Huge thanks to everyone who takes the time and effort to post all the comps! :T

Y'know what really grinds my gears? That some comps work fine in certain browsers and that others don't. That companies hide tick boxes at the end of entry forms to try and catch you out, or in some cases are very tricksy with their wording so a quick scan means you sometimes tick the wrong box.
And most of all, sodding captchas that don't process despite the fact I KNOW I've entered them correctly!Debt free 6th December 2014

It's not anything abut comping I dislike - it's me as a comper!
By being a comper I've opened myself up to multiple, daily moments of disappointment - when I check my mail, when I pick up my post and when I see someone post in IWIWIW thus putting another prize out of my grasp forever (it's not that I envy YOU for winning, I just feel a bit disappointed for ME)
I'm trying to be far more zen about itComps £2016 in 2016 - 1 wins = £530 26.2%

Amen to that. I'm thinking of putting a sign outside my house saying:
Delivery drivers - Do NOT park here if you have a package for another address!
It's one disappointment after another this comping larkLuck is believing you’re lucky – Tennessee Williams

My pet hate about comping is filling in an entry form and then the submit button not working, doesn't happen too often but it bugs me a lot when it does happen!
The stupid tick boxes on the magazine dailies, ggrrrrrr!
Oh and entry forms that ask for an address with 5 or 6 lines and you cant submit the form until all lines are complete.
My address (inc postcode) only has 4 lines.0 -
My pet hate is not so much the comping but the delivery drivers who say they tried to deliver when they so blatantly didnt-i was at home! It is so annoying!0

Ha ha ha !! THIS!!! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
I do that nearly every day - see someone post on IWIWIW and either it was a one-only prize that I think "oh well, I ain't won that one" or else it was a one of 10 / 20 / 50 etc so I rush off to check my emails in case I've got one too only to be disappointed!! :rotfl:
Like you say it's not that I begrudge other people anything, sometimes I just wish it was me!!
My actual pet hates are the tick boxes on dailies (don't have roboform so have to tick them every time). This morning it took me over an hour to do the dailies, whereas without those things it would probably be more like 20 mins!! I know nobody is forcing me to do them, but it really does turn them into a chore rather than a bit of fun!!0 -
Today is a perfect example... get a text at 7.30am to say a delivery will be arriving between 10-11am.
7.30am Get a little excited
8.30am Get a little more excited
9.00am Start to hover by the door
9.30am Start checking phone/email and the door
10.00am Start to jump by the front door, dribbling wee in excitement
10.30am Get a major crushing blow as it's some stupid pieces of plastic that were missing from something I ordered a month ago.
