I think that is terrible, not on your part on his. How dare he speak to a customer in that way, what happened to customer services? If it was me i wouldn't be taken my child back there and i would also make sure other people are aware of the kind of person they are dealing with if their children go there. At the end of the day politeness and manners cost nothing hes obviously not a very nice person at all.0

I agree - the guy has got to be reported - if he made you cry then what is he doing - or what will he do to someone else in a temper?"This site is addictive!"

Thanks guys for all your support.
Hubby spoke to him and the guy apologised profusely. He has asked that I suggest a new wording for his leaflet. Perhaps it's me, but I find him asking me to do that quite rude, like he's being really sarcastic. Perhaps it is just me.
He still wants my daughter to take her sessions (and so does hubby), but I'm taking a bit of persuading.
As for reporting him to the local paper, I work for the local paper, and he is quite popular as he went to Sri Lanka after the Tsunami.
There isn't a head office either, and the guy in question is the managing director of the gym.
Now hubbys spoken to him he says it's all finished with, but I'm still not particularly happy. It's not WHAT you know, it's WHO you know0 -
I would not take any child of yours back there after that.
I would still report him to the Charities Commission and follow up other suggestions on this thread.
Also is there another gym somewhere near enough with more flexible rules when children are ill? It might be inconvenient, but if he's been like this once with you, what's he like with other people and what's he like with children? Once in this situation in my opinion, is enough.
If you're not happy (and why should you be?) don't go near there again.Torgwen.....................

I too don't think this man is fit to be around children. He needs reporting. Its all very well being nice as pie to your hubby but what happens when the next person upsets him?

I totally agree with Poppy here, this guy sounds a bit like a lose cannon, someone who maybe needs anger management control. I would also consider what Fran said about reporting this guy to the Charities Commission too. I know if it was me and yeah i am soft i wouldn't want to take my child back there and would only probably do it if it really was somthing he really really wanted to do :rolleyes:0 -
Personally, I wouldn't take my child back .... no way!
This guy does need reporting though. And, I don't get why he said "everyone is trying to get something for nothing" to you?!?! You paid for the lessons, your child was unable to attend, the T&C state that you can rearrange lessons that had been paid for - so how does he get a daft idea that you are trying to screw him over?!?! HE is trying to screw you over more like:mad:
Report the guy, he shouldn't be working with kids:mad:I can say whatever I like here ... 'cos no one can see me .. ner ner ner ner ner !!!....How do you know I ain't sitting here butt naked?!?!I thunk I've made you think for a minute!:j :rotfl: :j0 -

So?
Still doesn't give him the right to be verbally abusive and to bully you!
Mr X went to Sri Lanka and is popular, best not besmirch his character by revealing that he's a stressed out bully? Nah!
There are two sides to every coin - I'm not putting him down for his time in SL (kudos!) but, maybe the stress of that is now telling on him and to be frank how would you feel if that same stress overspilled onto one of the children and you *hadn't* said anything?
Other parents have a right to know the temprement and character of the people who they entrust the welfare of their children to. Even if this is a one off due to stress (which I doubt, I don't think he was being sarcastic asking you to reword the leaflet - I think he's near the end of his tether and doesn't know *how* to word it!) at least it might prevent him from unleashing his stress in inappropriate ways!
((hugs)) it's awful to be abused in such a manner.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
