I did mean to lump watching the alcohol into the diet part, it just came out a bit wrong.
I also tend to bulk buy chocolate bars in the hope I will have one a day, but it never seems to happen! I did however leave my remaining Crunchies in my desk drawer on Friday, so I'm feeling pretty smug about that. It'll be something to go into work for on Monday anyway.
I'm actually very pleased to report that it's officially over three months now since I've had a day off sick, and I'm officially out of debit with my flexitime. These are biggies in the 'getting my life back together' plans. :T
I'm still really enjoying the walk to work, although I think the rain is coming so that'll be less of a joy this week. I really need to stop buying Crunchies and get on with losing weight, so I will be trying to do that this week primarily. When I was off work sick last summer and doing a lot of sitting around I managed to balloon to 16stone 6lbs, I'm currently 15 stone exactly. I'd like to be 12 stone 7lbs, so I need to start putting some serious effort in. I gained 6lbs over Christmas/New Year and I haven't shaken that off so that's where to start. I know 12 stone 7 will seem like a lot to some people, but I'm 5ft 10 and to use the delightful common parlance 'top heavy' so this will look fine on me. I am still using 'myfitnesspal', as seeing everything written down is really helpful.
I have until the 15th of Feb to accept voluntary redundancy, and I've been going on and off the idea all week. Part of me thinks this would be an ideal opportunity to push me to do something else with my life, part of me fears a downward spiral if I was unemployed long term or missed my old job. There is so much back biting in my office at the moment though it's driving me mad, and I can't see it getting better any time soon. It's difficult. I know I could survive on £7000 and JSA(C) easily for 6 months though. Hmm.
Not much else to report, had a NSD today because I got up incredibly late after my night out and couldn't even be bothered with Tesco. I'm planning to make a coffee and walnut cake for work tomorrow though, and I need food for the week so tomorrow will be spendy. My extremely poor showing in life today will be made up for tomorrow, I've got a list of things I need to do and I'm going to get up early and go for it. Including a 5k run. Hi Fudgie,
Well done on the weightloss so far! I'm 5"9, and top heavy too, but alas I'm nearer your starting weight at the minute. At my lowest I was 10 stone 11 but everyone kept trying to fatten me up. Unfortunately they succeeded and then I forgot to stop eating. I too am aiming for the 12 - 12 st 7lbs mark and then see how I feel.
Major congrats on no sick days for 3 months, you must be really proud of yourself. I can see your point about the voluntary redundancy too. You have to weigh up if not having 'anything' to get up for/do each day will have a negative or positive effect on your state of mind, against whether perhaps moving closer to home for example will have a stronger effect. It's a hard one but I'm sure you will know best XxDebts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j

I know exactly what you mean PLMBL, I look a bit strange at what is supposed to be my target weight, so I tend to just ignore the BMI scale pretty much. Your weight gain with everything that happened is totally understandable, you just need to not beat yourself up about it and get positive about the changes you're making, and it sounds like you are.
I comfort eat loads when I'm unhappy, I always have done, I always laugh when the top five symptoms of depression include weight loss -just my luck that that is the one symptom I've yet to experience! :rotfl:
Still no further along with the redundancy thing, there's no point in me claiming otherwise.
I have had a good successful day today, got up to find to my amazement there was a blue sky outside and the air wasn't as cold as it has been recently. Managed to get out on my run and shave three minutes off my time, and then clean the bathroom. Also managed to make my coffee and walnut cake, which looks suitably seventies and then have a shower and a salad for tea! This comfortably makes up for yesterday I think.
Going to Yoga tomorrow for the first time in my life, so will be spending £5 there. I've done a food shop today for £12.77 which will hopefully keep me going for the week and it'll only then be transport to worry about. I'm planning on walking to work everyday this week for the first time, really hope this happens.
I haven't sent a text nor received a text from my ex for over a week, for the first time in a long time. The urge to send one is overwhelming but I know it'll go away if I just do other things. I think it'd be easier if we'd agreed to stop talking or something, this just feels weird. Whinge over.Barclaycard [STRIKE] £2770 [/STRIKE] now £2690.

I also comfort eat, and eat when I'm happy, and eat when I'm bored etc etc. I have to be REALLY devastated before I stop eating and thankfully there have only been a few times in my life when that has happened, but I know what you mean about how it would help weightloss! Good for you with the yoga though! Sounds fab! I hope you enjoy it.
Stay strong on resisting texting the ex. Have a wander through the diaries or other parts of MSE to take your mind of it XxDebts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j

Thanks PLMBL, who I am I kidding, I'll eat whatever the occasion.
I think re-reading bits of my own diary where the ex is concerned is the best idea I've had all day!Barclaycard [STRIKE] £2770 [/STRIKE] now £2690.

... but you can roll it in glitter !!! Which we unfortunately do at times!
I read something the other day which I loved. It said "You may not have the power to start over again. But you do have the power to change the ending". I think that works in so many aspects of life, for me.
Sorry I've not been around so much FF. I'm in a transitional state and still working out what to do. I do need to be back on here regularly though!
Your diary is nothing short of spectacular at the moment! I loved catching up on it! Well done. :T0 -
