Well had some feedback on jobs I applied for before christmas and it was a no. Another after a lot of messing about and faff have decided they'll recruit themselves, this is after they got an agency to chase up candidates. So goodness knows what will happen with that. I need a job and soon. :(. I'm applying for everything (suitable) thats coming up. I've counted that I've applied for 160 jobs (mostly temp, but some permanent) since I found out I was finishing up at my last place. I'm trying to tell myself its still quiet due to christmas and new year..... but its not working :(..... where's my guardian angel :A, when I need them to wave a magic wand and make a job appear? I'm not afraid of hard work I just want to be back working and earning money.

It's so disheartening when you put all you've got into getting a job and it doesn't seem to be happening. Don't give up. Maybe your guardian angel has other plans for you at the minute. As my friend always says: what's for you won't pass you by.

Thanks HAW but I need to magic money from somewhere! Quiet on the tarot today so far and i can't stay on too late (I normally work over tea time) as one of my friends is coming to tea. Making spag with meatballs and garlic bread. Putting breadcrumbs in with the meatballs to fill us up and make it go further!!!!! I need to find something to put on OH's sandwiches for work. Seriously considering egg mayo as we have a lot of eggs! Thank goodness for Ald*s. They do a box of 15 for £1.35.

I've done my Onepoll for today, checked the bank (£20 spending money left, I have enough to pay my bills at the end of this month.... once I get tarot in, digs from SS, money back from OH etc and I'll have a tiny amount left over..... hoping to increase that). Had call from one agency wanting to put me in for a job, and I called another about the role I mentioned before. Its supposed to be interviewing tomorrow, now supposedly they only have 3 CV's, mine being one of them. I would like that job and the agency thinks it starts begining of feb.

I cleared another bag of rubbish (I'll need to add it to my total) and I'll need to sort out the clothes that need to go to the rag n bone man. I've been keeping a shopping list (spreadsheet) and OH is quite surprised how much hasn't been getting wasted! :T. I did cheat last night with the stew, I love dumplings but OH and SS won't eat them so I made one for myself to go with a portion of the stew to fill me up. I spotted lots of nice recipes on the Aldi's website I think I'll try once I've got spare dosh for the ingredients. My meal planner is planned upto next friday, I'll need to see what else I have in the freezer (as its almost full) apart from the stuff I know about, that I can use.

Good luck with the interview Unix, hope it goes well. DH applied for a few jobs with cwjobs...thanks for suggeting them. Fingers crossed something comes through soon for all of us!!

Snowy here, and my invigilating has been cancelled for today. :( They didn't want me travelling in to college with this bad weather (not that bad yet, but been snowing steadily for a few hours now). They have got folk from town to cover, as they have a better chance of getting in and then back home!!

So I have an extra day to get some sewing done...though I do have to finish my tax-stuff....nearly there :o Think I'll do that this morning, then leave the rest of the day free for sewing :j

    Have a good day/weekend xxx

Thanks Keiss, glad the website helped. Try Jobsite as well they have some not bad listings at the moment. The job (or lack of) situation is driving me nuts.

Pork stir fry for tea tonight. Trying to use what I have in my freezer. Keeping a spreadsheet of what I have and what I need etc.

  • Oh yummy! Pork stir fry! Tasty :D

Hope you have a good weekend, despite the fact the job hunt is getting to you. Give yourself a break from even thinking about it for a day.
