Well OH is in a complete mood and has ruined my good mood about my interview. Picked him up from work and he says congratulations then says 'I thought that job would rear its head again, after all it means driving about doesnt it'. I said 'No, it based somewhere its a consultancy', he's been in a mood ever since. I tried to tell him about my day (after he asked) and he kept cutting me off calling his work !!!!! (thats the polite version) because they were mucking him about by putting him on a night shift. Told him he's a temp he should be happy they didn't just tell him not to come back. But no he's moaned non-stop. We got home and he decided he wanted a takeaway, even though I'd sorted dinner! I let him, simply because I wanted peace and quiet. They (his work) asked him to go in tomorrow (after he asked earlier in the week for another shift), and he's decided he's not going in. I know fine well come tomorrow when its too late to go in he's going to be moaning he should have gone in (he did it on monday if you remember or read my earlier posts).

He's now asleep on the sofa and snoring and i'm not waking him up. Fed up him having a dig about certain jobs. I'm not going to apologise for having the qualifications I do and he can't use bringing 2 kids up on his own as an excuse as I know so many folk that did it and have got qualifications/built businesses etc. Sorry for moaning but I needed to vent and would normally phone my Mum and vent but can't get peace to phone her and say what I've said above (SS floating about, and he's acting very strange) and realised she's not in till much later.

Morning All, got to the bottom of OH's mood (apart from his job stuff) it was the fact that the sight was going in one of his eyes! He had an op a few months ago on both eyes and he's had problems in the other eye. Well we ended up back at the place this morning (we were up at the crack of dawn to get the train). Its an infection that was reducing his eyesight. They gave him antibiotics and anti-immflamatories. His sight is now only a few hours after the appointment starting to stabilise and the pain starting to ease. I wish they'd given him a better check up to begin with as then we would be £15 in train fares each time. OH paid it this time and bought us a burger (as we hadn't had time for breakfast) and we stopped off at Mr M and he bought lemon squash, brazil nuts (both for me, i love brazil nuts) and a cake to go with coffee at home. I'm guessing he's now realising how much I'm freaking out about not having any money and its his way of saying sorry.

  • *hugs*

I'm glad you've finally been able to get to the bottom of it. It did just seem to be one thing after the other with you and OH, and it is a very stressful time at the minute for both of you. Hopefully things will improve and OHs mood will be a lot lighter.

Happy Monday and fingers crossed for your interview :D

    Just a quick update.

I think the interview went ok. Did a few hours at the CC. Submitted an application for another job (very involved application).

Did the food shopping, and managed to nearly stick to the shopping list. I wanted 2 of the deals in Mr M's but those deal have finished (soup and cereal) and I wasn't paying neary £3 for a box of cereal! The town where I did the shopping has Mr M. Aldi's and HB all in the one square....its really good. Anyway, my freezer is full and as long as SS doesn't eat everything in sight (I've disguised some of the stuff in the fridge by wrapping it in layers of plastic for the stuff I don't want him to touch!!!!). One of my friend's is coming over on thursday, so I'll probably do spaghetti and meatballs with garlic bread.

I want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?
  • Any idea when you'll hear back from them about the interview?

    Morning All,

Chev, raising SS's dig money won't happen but I've decided he's not taking anymore finance from my house. This is the last payment on his car. Its a 2007 fiesta and he thinks he'll get £4500 for it!!!! :rotfl:. Try more £3000 if he's VERY lucky. He can either save or move out. Not doing it anymore. As for the food, I'll keep hiding stuff (I know I shouldn't have to), but he's not on paying such a low amount and expect me to feed him every night. No way....... and its his fault if he wastes his stuff by not using it in time.

HAW, I'm not sure when I'll hear. Soon I hope! I need a job. I had a call this morning about the other job I spoke about and they wanted to know when my last background check was done (done for my last job). So I don't know whether thats a good sign or not? That job is interviewing on friday if I get picked.
