Hello everyone, sorry not been about I needed a few days to myself. DIY friend (who's a lot older than me) has found out her daughter is expecting (her daughter is 24). I just can't get excited for her, is that bad? I keep wishing it was OH and I. Every time we think about it, one of us loses our job
. This girl quit her job a few weeks ago and her other half (who is my age and I went to school with! He also had a child when he was 16, meaning that child is now 21!...... oh and guess what neither my friend or her daughter know!) doesn't work either and are expecting my friend to help with EVERYTHING! My friend's poor husband is freaking out as he knows they are going to be expected to babysit every weekend. Why on earth are !!!!less people like that allowed to have kids??? Sorry I'm having a rant.
Still job hunting and thats getting me down too. Thank you for the birthday wishes.CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. A very belated
:bdaycake:Happy Birthday Unix :bdaycake:
Sorry I missed it, hope you had a good day.
Rant away any time you want to...hope you feel a bit better about things.
Been busy with work and sewing at home this week. Spent this morning ironing while watching Andy lose to Novak, shame, but the better man won.
Catching up with lots of things today as hardly home for the next week, and the last thing I will want to do in the evenings will be ironing (not that I ever want to iron).
Hope you manage to get a job soon unix, something is definitely out there for you. It looks like DH has got a job at last. He's had a phone call and email telling him, the offer letter should get here by Tuesday. He was made redundant mid October, and only had a couple of interviews since then...everything really slowed up in December. With things picking up now it's a new year, hopefully you will get something in the near future, fingers crossed.
In the meantime, lots of hugs and good-wishes winging their way north to you.

Your DIY friend sadly needs to grow a spine, and lay down some ground rules. And anyway if it is said with honey then it will be fine.
Oh no dear I couldn't possibley look after liitle one all night yet, YOU will need to breast feed her WON'T you. Cos you are SUCH a good mum. etc etc:D
chevI want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?

Thank you peeps, sorry I've been AWOL. I know its bad when my boss at the CS pulls me aside and asks me if I'm ok!! I had an interview today and I think it went well, but I get back and OH is in a complete mood and I don't know why. He did moan that the interview was with a company that wasn't advertising job titles but I'd sent a speculative CV in and they replied. Surely it can't be that? I need support off him not this. He's off work, which means no pay. He was supposed to be off work as he was getting an op but they didn''t do it, so you would have thought he would have arranged to go in but no, all I got when I asked was him saying "I can't be ar*ed"...... frankly I can't be ar*ed myself with his attitude. Now SS has just told me his mobile bill hasn't been paid (OH gets the money from SS and pays it from his account) so I can't say I'm chuffed as I was there when the DD was set up.
Not feeling brilliant at all, fed up having no job and so called friends in real life taking the p**s. Does it get any better?CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. Unix, I read but don't post, so don't want to sound harsh. Is there anyway you can go away for a few days? Go and stay with your Gran and have a really good think about what YOU want and where YOU want to be. Your life sounds very hard and it seems to go in the same track, fall out make up but the air is never cleared. I hope this doesn't offend as that isn't my intention. Hugs

*hug* (again!)
I tend to agree with lucielle actually. This line in particular...fall out make up but the air is never cleared
It's not a good way to be. Things get bottled up inside time after time, until such time as you crack. What happens then?
(I prob need to do the same thing too)

Hello All. I do appreciate everyone's comments and yes Lucielle and HAW I think you are right that I probably need a few days away but I'm not being pushed out my own home. OH? Behaving better after I ignored him for a few days. SS? Ok he's narked me today as I treated myself to some apples and he's munched through 5 out of the 8 today. So I've put them out of sight. I know I shouldn't have to do this but never mind. He decided to ask me during the week what I was making for tea, told him I was making his Dad's packed lunch...... in other words 'I'm not making you anything as you just moan no matter what I cook'. He got the message and thankfully he's stayed out of my way. His Dad is ready to kick him out as his room is a tip, he never helps around the house and treats other folks stuff like carp (he did pay up to my SIL the £50 he owed her for wrecking her spare bed by throwing up on it).
Went through to see my Gran today, took her the 2 skirts I got from the CS. 2 brand new M&S skirts for £6.50. She was so chuffed. Got rid of my old mobile as well, £50 better than nothing (in one of the 2nd hand tech shops). I treated OH and I to a shared chippy sausages (in batter) and chips, and a choccie bar for OH (reduced from coop next door to chippy) and bag of cola bottles for me. Also got hovis bread for 50p and 3 peppers for 50p (which I'll freeze). The money left over will go towards money for bills at the end of this month. OH is giving me money each week. This week he gave me £25 and put £30 fuel in my car.
I'm still working on onepoll and I'm £2.50 from a payout. Done about £55 in tarot this week. I was going to do more tonight but we're not long home and I'm actually quite tired. Going to watch Mr Selfridge at 9 and put my feet up.
I do have some good news, I have a job interview this friday. All positive vibes very welcome. I need a job and soon. This one sounds really good. Its only 3 months work and I would need to set up my own ltd company to get paid (the joys of IT work) but it would be money.
