Dragon, you might remember from my old diary I fell last January and it caused all sorts of pain, it took from then to November to get my MRI. :(. I had various appointments where they prodded and pulled me about and even after reducng me to tears because it was so painful telling me that was normal. Its certainly not normally as the other side doesn't feel like that!

I mentioned this on my old diary, decluttering. Well I'm still trying but I had a bit of a jolt last night. I have a huge solid oak table in the corner of the living room and it has my huge fish tank on it. I dropped the can of fish food (thank goodness it stayed sealed!) and it rolled along this table and down the back so leant over to retrieve it. Guess what I found? A little white bag with a small teddy in it saying we'll miss you. So there's me thinking its the one from the job I got made redundant from in April. .....Nope I read the label it was from the job I got made redundant from in 2009! Ashamed to say I need to sort my house out. I'll tackle it a little at a time over the holidays as if I make it obvious OH will start moaning again but already decided any paperwork to do with SD from that year is getting shredded and binned. If she needed it its going to be tough she should have asked for it before. I need to clear some space and clear my mind. .....Does that sound bad?

  • Not bad at all, if she needed it and it was important I am sure she would have said so before now. De-cluttering always helps me, I feel like Ive de-cluttered my mind too. Just need to the motivation to do it :(

Sorry the NHS has been rubbish for you, I had a similar experience when I was poorly a few years ago and in the end it took one doctor 5 minutes to diagnose, but up to that point Id been passed from pillar to post for 2 years.

Hope things at home get better, sounds like your OH needs a kick up the bum to chivvy him along a bit but I understand it would only add to problems if you were the one doing the kicking.

Thanks Pencakes, its normally his sis that kicks him up the bum and says 'what the heck are you doing'?

I think I'm going to set myself a decluttering challenge. 365 things decluttered in 2013. So basically one a day. I can manage that can't I? I think Pencakes you might be right that if I declutter the house it might help declutter my mind. Off to amend my signature.

SD and her antics (whilst she lived with us) were nearly 4 years ago. She stopped living with us then too if you remember Dragon. So I think her stuff has to go. Funnily enough I think she's been in our house sometime in the last year as the wardrobe I keep the winter jackets in had some of her clothes in it and some of them are gone. So I think at some point SS has let her into the house.

  • And no I don't think it's bad either! It's getting in the way. You're gonna declutter. Her loss if she wants it. She should've taken it with her a long time ago.

Nice wee challenge you've set yourself there too :D

Or hopefully she told him what she wanted and he took it round!

I hope so Dragon (though I don't think SS would know teal from blue iyswim), but thinking back there was a picture on her social media page (linked through to her brother's) and the background looked very like my driveway. Distinctive plants you see. So I think he may have let her into the house. Considering I've not noticed anything that isn't hers missing I'm hoping the pair of them had sense that if anything else went missing I'd happily (and OH would have too) have charged the pair of them with theft.

Had text from OH he's finishing work early. Now this is a :D as it means we both get in at a decent time (so I can get dinner, stuff sorted for tomorrow etc without doing all that and there only being an hour before bed!), but also a :( as it means his wages will be low next week (we're both paid a week in arrears, he's paid hourly, I'm paid daily) and I know he'll moan!

  • Just a quick post whilst I'm on hold to Sky (the joys of moving house!) - I like your updated sig, nothing like a challenge to focus the mind, and something totally achievable. You've inspired me to get out the bin bags and have a clear out instead of moving everything with me that I dont even want or use! :)
