  • How are you feeling now? Its annoying when things like that happen, it happened to me twice before I got this job. It felt like it was just an excuse for we've changed our mind about you. Fingers crossed things start to look up for you xx

Ive just been paid. So I bought a celebratory Twirl from the vending machine. Naughty pencakes!

Still feeling quite upset/angryconfused Pencakes (is that sad?). Met a pal for a quick chat and she asked if I was ok. Not told her about the job thing though.

....Chocolate? You're allowed and beside a Twirl has air in it so its not bad :D ..... same goes for Aeros lol.

Just not enough hours in the day I think, I am so tired. Really wish OH didn't finish so late from work. Yes I know it would be a rush to get him if he finished earlier but I'd be getting home at a reasonable time. As it is we're not home till 7:30ish and its 8 before we're settled and he wants to go to bed at 10. If I don't head to bed then too I'm tired, grumpy and if he's asleep before me he has started snoring... loudly! I cannot get to sleep. I kicked him hard last night as he just got progressively louder. It was torture.

hi, did you cancel your day off in the end, i would have suggested the same as Lucielle, they never knew what it was for and Drs/hospitals are renown for messing people around. Plus if you're temping they know that people will go for interviews if there's a chance for it to lead to a permanent job.

Love the willow basket by the way. Wonder if Pippi is still cutting lots of willow where she is?

I did cancel it LT, hence the reply I got of "fine" which I wasn't pleased about. My contract is due up mid-feb and I'm now panicking whether they will extend me (daft I know at this stage but I'm a worrier!).

Money wise any days off mean a loss in wages and money is a bit dicey this month. I really need to resurrect the tarot as it comes in handy and I need to sort out my tax bill and ni (yep left it to last again!).

I did wonder if Pippi was still growing willow. The lady that ran the class I went to gave me lots of cuttings which I've planted so we'll see if they come up. My front garden will look strange if they all come up but I don't care its functional :D

It was good HAW, just what I needed. I watched corrie as well. No knitting done (I still have a scarf to knit for a friend for christmas! Think I better get my skates on!).

SS decided to munch the packed lunch I'd prepared on tues night for OH for today. I try and do 2 days at once. He left mine, knowing I'd give him hell and ate OH's. Not a happy bunny. So I swiped a tin of the Heinz soup he'd bought to give to his Dad for his packed lunch. Fair's fair :D.

Ok, I had a brain wave. How do you turn an 89p bag of sweets into something good for about half a dozen people?

    ....Answer?

    Sweetie Kebabs!

I bought a bag of marshmallows (not the haribo ones as they are sugar coated) and plan to thread them onto wooden skewers and wrap in cellophane. Will the ends be ok twisted and taped or do I need a bag sealer machine? I'm planning on putting these in with a few peoples christmas pressies. Is that sad? I'm trying to make things fun but trying to make things go further.

Morning All, its pay day thank goodness. I don't get paid till later though and my pay varies so I know roughly what I'll get but not exactly. I could have done without the 2.5 days off this month as its had an impact on my wages (no work, no pay) but I couldn't let OH go to his op on his own and I needed to get my MRI (although no results yet!).

    So I need to sort:-

    1) ni and tax for tarot (I know I should have saved the money but something always crops up, in this case it was redundancy and then 5 months without a job!)
    2) MOT for car
    3) sort air lock in coolant on other car (might mean admitting defeat and taking it to the garage)
    4) pay back the rest of the money I borrowed from pension fund (£200 borrowed, £10 paid back so far)
    5) Find the wool I bought in July to knit scarf for friend for christmas. Its currently buried under christmas presents in my office at home. Which although a box room is so full..... its a quick shut the door before anything escapes.
    6) Get everything wrapped and make cards for those I'm making cards for. I've bought cards for the neighbours
    7) Transfer Quidco money (£2.18, but still) to one of my other debts. DONE
    8) Buy christmas present on behalf of my Gran for SS (She's given me the money)
    9) Wrap OH's pressies without him seeing and make him a christmas card.
    10) Sort out card and pressie for SIL's birthday.

Well at least one is done so far. Hope everyone has a good friday.
