Individual chocolate brownies from the Economy Gastronomy book in mine today. Very nice!
whisk together 2 eggs, 1/2 tbsp of espresso or very strong instant coffee and 130g sugar on high speed for about 5 mins with whisk attachment until frothy. At the same time melt together 2 bars of green and blacks chocolate and a knob of butter. Mix the two together, and fold in 30g plain flour, 1/2 tsp of baking powder and a packet of white chocolate chips. Dollop spoonfuls onto a baking tray. By this point predatory children may be circulating so give them the bowl to lick. Bake at 160 for 10 mins. Whilst baking if predatory children were pre school age, drop them in a warm bath of water and allow chocolate to float to the surface. Remove brownies from oven and if you have greedy kids DO NOT allow them to cool on an unattended surface.
Serve warm with vanilla icecream and watch in awe as your waistline spreads over the top of your jeans and ends up resting gently on your knees0 -

Finally used my Kenwood for the first time the other day, and I love it! Made fairy cakes and they turned out brilliantly. Used the flexible K beater and creamed the butter and sugar before lobbing everything else in and mixing just long enough to combine. So fab and so easy! Mummy to an amazing little girl0

My Krups mixer has finally given up the ghost after approx 32 years service and I've seen a Kenwood "Exclusive to Sainsburys" mixer there for just £24.99. Must be pretty basic (as was my Krups) but is it worth a punt do you think? Would it make pastry or should I upgrade to a food processor?
All tips appreciated!Normal people worry me.0 -
I got mine yesterday, bought used from amazon warehouse £255 (KMC010). It said Used - Good condition. When i opened the MASSIVE box half the stuff hadnt even been taken out of the original packaging. Made a quick chocolate cake from the recipe book and it was lovely!
The only thing I couldnt see was how to claim a free attachment? Im thinking the previous owners have claimed one and sold it seperately maybe.
Any ideas? Also did I get a good deal?Borrowed - £148000 June 2013
Original MF Date - May 2038
Aiming For - March 2031 (At Latest!)
Overpaid - £490.00
Daily Interest - [STRIKE]£18.16[/STRIKE] £18.090 -
Mine tried to commit suicide the other day - I'd turned my back for a second and it had 1kg of bread dough in it, tremendous crash, turned back and it was on the floor, plug pulled out
Picked it up, replaced it on worktop. plugged it back in - and it works!!!
Phew....Please forgive me if my comments seem abrupt or my questions have obvious answers, I have a mental health condition which affects my ability to see things as others might.0 -

That is the only drawback I've found with mine so I have to hold it when I'm using it.0 -

there was an application form on line, but you had to send off the original purchase receipt to claim the free attachment, so you may not be able to get it,if you bought yours as ''used''0
