Do you have a cover over your Kenny? I had one years ago for my old Ken Chef but don't know where that went.
I have a new Kenny but no cover. I am thinking - make one when I get my new kitchen in - then I can decide on colour.

Can anyone help me please, and point me in the right direction for instructions on how to re-grease a chef gearbox?
    Thank you.

Bit late in replying but www.kenwoodchefrestore.co.uk do the special food grade grease you would need and maybe if you spoke to them would guide you on avoiding any "gotchas"

I love looking at my Kenny too. I couldn't bear to hide him away, 'specially as he is bright and stripey!

Do you mind if I join in too please? We were given a Kenwood Chef about 5 years ago and I've only used it about 3 times - it's been stashed in the loft for 3 of those years :o. I brought it down with the intention of selling it but thought I'd give it another go because I'm more domesticated now than I was, love cakes and biscuits and naughty stuff like that and I just thought it'd make my life easier generally! I'll let you know how it goes ....

  • My lovely Auntie gave me her beloved kenwood a901p mixer today. We have spent all day giving it a good clean. I have read the two books she gave me. Had a good look on eBay at attachments. I have the liquidiser, k hook and whisk. We can't find the dough hook or the cream maker she says she had ( she is 86) so now it's time to give it a go.Any advise welcomed. And what attachment do you Kenny fans recommend please. I fancy the ice cream and pasta maker.
I have magimix food processor so that does my chopping etc and a Panasonic bread maker which I love to bits.
  • This weekend my chec has made a lamb doner kebab and a new york cheesecake
I'm trying so hard to be thrifty, but it doesn't come naturally. You lot are an inspiration!
