Well, your question can have multiple answers.
For example, when you get pulled over you could say to them "I pay your salary!"
Or "sorry, I didn't realise my radar detector wasn't plugged in""Retail is for suckers"

Biased and ranting? A cheap insult that tries to give the impression that anyone holding a different view from you is some sort of raving lunatic. Well done, you're a credit to the human race.:T
 And the other 34%?
Not a cheap insult at all, an observation that you have read a report and then published headline figures that give a totally different impression to the content of the report. You showed your bias with the comment about Tomlinson.
As for being a raving lunatic, if the cap fits then wear it."You should know not to believe everything in media & polls by now !"

What a garbage analogy - builders and farm workers aren't put in situations where they are likely to be murdered or confronted by physical violence.
No, but they put their lives at risk. Personally I don't have a preference between falling off the roof of a building, being gored by a bull, or being shot by a psychopath. Well I do actually - none of the above.....0

I've been stopped three times in fifteen years of driving. On each occasion I stayed in my car. If you do get stopped you need to make sure you don't come across like an idiot or wind the copper up. I did'nt and was let go almost instantly, mess them around and you'll get what's coming, probably a fine/points instead of a talking to0

Say nowt, admit nowt..it is for them to prosecute, not for you to admit or defend...trouble is of course, with FP tickets, there is already presumed guilt.Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..0

Dont listen to most of these posters, they are just on to wind you up.
The correct protocol is to smile and say "yes I know its a sheep officer but I honestly thought the age limit did not apply in this case,:):).Ok it didnt work for me but im getting out next week.:D0

But some better advice is not to drive in such a way that warrants being pulled over!
I got pulled over about midnight (just before Christmas) on the M25 and the conversation went like this:
Officer: Do you know what speed you were doing?
 Me: 70
 Officer: Exactly!
 Me: Huh? That's the limit.
Apparently he considered it to be "suspicious" not to break the speed limit on an empty motorway in good conditions and proceeded to inspect the car and breathalyse me. To be honest I wasn't that bothered - I knew I hadn't done anything wrong.
I've also been stopped for having a full car at 3am. I think the officer expected a bunch of teenagers rather than the thirtysomethings he got. A couple of my passengers nearly ended up walking though, as when I was asked if I'd been drinking, I said no and they said yes - their follow up of diet coke was 60secs too late imho as I was already out of the car being breathalysed by then .
You don't need to be doing anything wrong to be stopped. I'm guessing the police get a vibe off some car/passenger combos that mark them out as being worth a look.0

In a neighbouring area a Nissan 200 SX crashed into a tree in the early hours. Three died and one was critically injured. The 22 year old male driver died along with his sister (26) and his girlfriend (24). A fourth male was left with "critical" injuries.
Inquest found he had been speeding and a blood sample showed he'd also been drinking...
If the police are taking an interest in cars that match this description it's with good reason.0

Moral being it pays to drive a car that looks like it might have been MOT worthy in the not too distant past. And look to see all the lights are working, the Police never pass up a car with a dead light. You scullion! You rampallian! You fustilarian! I’ll tickle your catastrophe (Henry IV part 2)0
