Hopefully you have one of those things that lots of folk have called a washing line , peg them on the line on a nice blowy day and they will come back indoors smelling gorgeous and will not only be nice to small but will make you house small nice as well at little or no cost to yourself apart from a packet of pegs My son-in-law used to always tumble the clothes in their house now I snaffle them out onto the line to dry .I even if it showers leave them to blow dry as the rain (unless it makrs them ) will give it a nice small as well.
Showers are alright but it's almost constant rain up here just now!!
We have a communal drying area and though I'm happy to put most things out on the rare decent drying days, I'm loath to put "good" stuff out - I don't altogether trust everyone who has access to the area!0 -
Less soap powder.
Vinegar in final rinse.
Line dry.
Occasionally I just wash my towels in vinegar.I'm not that way reclined

Thanks, will try the vinegar trick ... how much do you use?0

Just wanted to say I get this, too. I don't mind it too much, tbh, but I do notice that when I let the towels air-dry as opposed to tumble-drying them they do feel a bit like sandpaper :rotfl:
I will take a look at the suggestions in pink-winged's post.0 -

About the same quantity as you would use fabric conditioner0 -
I start mine off in the dryer to get them fluffy then finish off on the line. I can't stnad crunchy towels!People seem not to see that their opinion of the world is also a confession of character.

I like soft fluffy towels too! I line dry them or radiatior dry them then give them a short (10 mins) in the tumble dryer on hot!0

I dry mine out on the line - weather permitting - then I pop them in the tumble dryer on hot for 5 minutes max and they come out fluffy. Saves a bomb on the electric costs.Cat, Dogs and the Horses are our fag and beer money

ive started to dry my washing outside and yes, i find that a lot of the sheets and towels come in rather hard if theres not much wind. I dont use fabric softener either which doesnt help.
Now my old way of drying was 60 minutes in the dryer and everything came out soft and relatively crease free so now i do 20 minutes in the dryer on a cool down setting when i get my laundry in which still means that the sheets and towels are still soft and fluffy and fairly crease free. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. I'm another who starts towels off in the dryer for minimum time and then line dries them. I also refuse to wash less than 3 towels at once, as that's the minimum number I'll put in the td (preferably 4 or 5 though) so I save towels up for washingI am the master of my fate; I am the captain of my soulRepaid mtge early (orig 11/25) 01/09 £124616 01/11 £89873 01/13 £52546 01/15 £12133 07/15 £NILNet sales 2024: £200
