Please don't flame me, I know it's my own fault but i was approaching a traffic light, it was on green, then it went to orange and it was not safe to stop so I carried on.
I'm absolutely ****ting myself because of this and i'm litterally about to break up in tears. I'm 18 just passed in july.
Does anyone have a real insight into the outcomes?
i'm guessing 3 points and a massive fine?
I'm hoping it's an awareness course. Do they also have a set date to when they are meant to send out the letter where if I don't get it after a certain timeframe, it no longer becomes valid?
thanks for your help

3 points and £60 I think. Sorry I don't have much sympathy after being nearly hit TWICE last week by drivers jumping red lights:mad:
Just pay the fine (assuming the camera even had a film in it!) and chalk it up to experience.0 -
3 points £60 fine usually. You may be offered a course (do they do these for red lights or just speeding?).
Yes must be within 14 days, PROVIDING your address on your licence and V5 are up to date etc.0 -
Why was it unsafe to stop ?0

Why not post on this pepipoo forum if you do get a ticket?
http://forums.pepipoo.com/index.php?showforum=5
Chances are that you may not even get a ticket...some cameras do not produce them at all.
So don't break down over this, please get a good night's sleep!
Just don't do the same thing again, be 'ready to stop' as you approach any traffic light; 'cover the brake' my instructor used to say to me, foot off the accelerator temporarily and ready to brake if needed, or gently accelerate through if OK.
Your query would have been better on the 'parking tickets, fines & parking' thread perhaps but I am not sure they would add anything except to point you to the specialist forum on pepipoo as linked. But only IF you actually get a NIP.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

is a defence so, providing the courts agree you get no fine & no points0 -
First offence?
Oh, you'll probably get away with Crucifixion.0 -
Hi Own my own, it was not safe to stop because a boy racer in his renault was right behind my !!! and if I had emergency stopped braked he would of went right in the back off me.
I didn't want to go through the hassel of trying to convince the insurance company of what would of been an accident yet still have my premiums go up because of an idiot.
Hi pgilc1, yes it's my first offence.
thanks coupon-mad, will register at that forum and seen where it takes me.0 -

For future reference, it is ALWAYS the person behind's fault in such an accident.TrueUnitedFan wrote: »Hi Own my own, it was not safe to stop because a boy racer in his renault was right behind my !!! and if I had emergency stopped braked he would of went right in the back off me.
