P.S. I would like to point out that I meant "went down" not "down down" in my previous post :o

I really woke up when at one point one of the speakers, an important statistician, clearly forgot that "correlation does not imply causation". :j:j:j

Apart from that, there were more questions than answers.

    Proving that people were awake.

So, do people stereotyped for being boring fall asleep more or less easily than the average person?

Anyone watch "16 kids and counting"?

I still can't fathom why anyone would have so, so many.

I'm not sure I'd risk that on my car, I can imagine some Chavs taking objection and entering in to the spirit of lively debate by slashing the tyres, kicking in a few panels and putting a brick through the windscreen.

Lovely morning here today, & now the wind has dropped it isn't so bad (in my opinion). At least, it looks nice out there in the sunshine (from behind my double glazed window, next to the radiator...) Worryingly, Carol on the beeb this morning said it will get colder next week!

Not sure what I despair at more - my football team, or my employer.

Look on the bright side. Off to see a friend tonight I haven't seen before christmas.

Consumed by a huge loss is about right, no brave face and no willingness to talk to anyone outside. In fact nothing to say to anyone. Nothing can make it right and she doesn't want to feel better. Which makes me think that its turning to depression.

She is coming here in a couple of weeks time so we shall see how she is. House is going to be full at times so will be interesting whether she hides a way or interacts.

    I'm sorry, silvercar.

They call it depression when it's been more than two weeks without an uplift in mood. But grief is such a big complicated thing. How does anyone cope with losing their life's partner?

It was nearly 10 years after my mum died that I found my way to acceptance and can now think of her without guilt or tears in my eyes. And all that time, I had my life partner beside me to hold me through it all.

Our friends are trying to get one parent to move closer to them after they lost one. I think was up for it at the start but he wants to stay in their family home.
