    But if it were achievable it'd have been rented immediately. So, you already know there are voids at that rate. Probably low quality tenants are the norm there too.

    Sale completed 2 weeks ago, according to the agent. The owner has just spent two weeks redecorating, so it's only just on the market. That's "only" £200 per week rent, which around here won't get 2 bedrooms, let alone 5.

    Years ago I had a skinny mate..... never put on weight. He was late 20s too, so it wasn't like a growing/teen thing.     In a survival of the fittest terms these people are ideally suited o life in the western world today. I have girl frid who is six feet tall, weighs about the same as a bag of sugar, and eats from morning to night. Looks like a supermodel and is beautiful and a lovely person. How she has reached her thirties and is single is really interesting IMO.

    Your idea of the Library Internet would I think work for me the best then both myself and OH could keep our emails up to date as well as house hunting.

    Would BT mind connecting the service to the rented property for a short time then re-connect to the property that we purchased. As I said before I am not really into these new devices at all, they scare me a little but I would have a try if the need arose.

    A dongle is okay, but there is an alternative that is often faster and more reliable.

    A lot of wireless internet routers 'share' their services for a price. That's usually, BT or equivalent. You are allowed to use the shared service, provided you pay for it. You can find out more here http://www.btfon.com/support

    To purchase Fon Passes you must be connected to a Fon hotspot. The first page that you see when you connect to the hotspot show the products that are available, their prices and payment methods."

    So, you switch on your laptop and enable the wireless adapter on it. Tell it to search for wireless networks and choose a BT one that is unlocked. Chances are that it will take you to a BTFon (or equivalent) page asking you to pay money.

    The best is to get your own broadband, but getting a phone line and broadband installed can be time-consuming and expensive. Plus you need ypur landlord's permission.

    Go use the library's internet connection before thinking you might rely on it. The ones I used were painfully slow.

    I've got a degree in bacteria stuff so actually I am the most qualified person to answer your question. Errr.. well apart from the other people with similar degrees and actual work experience...

    If the rice has been stored in a cool dry place it will be fine. If it has gotten damp then definitely don't eat it. Rice tends to contain a certain type of bacterial spores and they can 'germinate' if they get moist and produce horrible toxins which are not destroyed in cooking (which is also why you shouldn't eat leftover rice which has been left out at room temperature).

    Sounds similar to my degree. The single lecture that sticks in my mind the most was the Food Poisoning lecture which was pure horror. After sitting through we all drifted out looiking paler than vampires on a rollercoaster. The only thing you'd dare consume in a restaurant wouold be a glass of water that had been boiled in front of you.

    Until eventually gluttony combined with laziness makes you happy to eat anything. If you ever get a chance try to read the book Bryan Moynahan's The Tourist Trap which is mainly about tricks the catering trade get up to. Thanks to that I now know what food can be up to 11% worm material.

    The thing that scares me most is the bacterial load in a kitchen sink.

    Food poisoning doesn't concern me much. As long as food hasn't dropped in the kitchen sink, I will eat it.

    Whole road is probably flats and HMOs....

    Edit: Just looked into it, local LHA rate is:
    Four Bedrooms Rate: £173.08 per week

    Yes. Had to rid himself of Candida apparently. Was gluten free the whole time too just to add to the misery. All of this was in the days when there were no commercially available 'free from stuff'.
