    Grrrrr! Hope it's sorted soon.
Yes, I want a fat button that just says RESET .... you'd have thought that having them both switched off at the wall for 4+ hours would have done the trick.

They work, were working ... only difference is that I pressed a random button.... and now they're jammed in some hidden mode. The telly isn't even firing up - it comes on, onto standby, waiting for the set top box to control it .... but the set top box doesn't want to control it (with the random buttons I've pressed).

And what you got was iced tea with no ice and no tea either. ;) Hope you enjoyed your chat with PN even if things were less than ideal on the beverage front. :)

Also, have you any further news about your heating (ie whether it's working) and/or your dealings with the guys that installed it? Or is that all hush hush and sub judice?

So good to hear from you, I was getting a little concerned. :)

I got what's I normally drink. Which is probably for the best anyway.:D

Heating...they called a solicitor first. Which gives us permission to do what dh does rather well:o.

Doozer boy was worried this would be stressful for me, but I had to admit I am am quite scrappy and when you can so easily 'win' its almost not sporting....but so be it.

It might do, but without it there's total silence here.... today when I met LIR I hadn't had a conversation with another human being for 2 weeks, since I met up with Spirit. So, for me, the telly is background noise/company.

I love being alone. When parent was away I was delighted. Parent is off again soon. I like that I can still have some solitude.

I think it's getting a good balance - there's only one person in the office at work and it can be quiet on the phones. At the weekend I sometimes see someone, sometimes not and it's about right for me.

Not seeing anyone for that long would not be good though. No use with what to suggest for your TV though, sorry.

Oh lir, Lydia - turning down hot chocolate, beyond my simple comprehension.

PN, I'm a telly free zone, it works well for me.

I live on a fairly restricted diet ( I have hypothyroidism, pcos and a thing wrong in my brain which impacts amount other things on my hypothalymus and therefore metabolic function. :(

One cup of hot chocolate to me is like a vat of it to 'normal' people. I try and make my indulgences count. I was punching the boat out with non iced iced tea (sugar content and caffeine). The no ice is because the medication I am on means I cannot take anything cold...no ice, very chilled stuff and no ice cream. I also cannot take anything carbonated, but the main reason for that is because it tastes very unpleasant.

Since I thought maybe I have an egg allergy I have not eaten egg and been ok, last night though supper didn't suit. I had pork, onions, pears, cabbage and tasted some rice to see if it was cooked. I was not well and bloated a bit again last night/today. :(

Was going to say you want the green light on the stb then you need to get the tele on AV channel which may only be on the TV remote. Once TV is on AV you should then go back to the STB remote to change channels etc. Not sure how you got the TV off AV using the STB remote though?

I'm glad you and LIR had a nice coffee - did you hear her squeak/creak?!
    I think....

I'd gathered you were having problems lir with some food stuffs, but without reading9000 + posts and previous NP threads, I hadn't realised quite was going on. You have my sympathy, so far I can eat anything - and do!

    Well done PN:j

    I wore a different bra.:)

But I wore the socks I prefer to wear with the creaky bra so I feel a bit all at odds with my self. PN looked very smart.....I wore the drizabone with a hole in it that looks as if I sleep in it on a park bench.

    Don't quote - will delete.

Got a new parental health issue to deal with - going to have to go West in a few weeks for that. Annoyingly, it's just a "10 minute thing" on paper, but it's the logistics of getting the old there, having pre-tests, waiting/entertaining/feeding the old until the afternoon session when they pop in for the "10 minute thing", then a half hour drive back to their home. It's smoother for me to drive and do it, than to pay for/rely on a carer and volunteer drivers to be in attendance for many hours.... obviously the old can be 'entertained' more easily by family than by strangers, so it'll make for a more pleasant procedure if I am in attendance.

Siblng is going ... but would be arriving by public transport from up country, and I figured they needed me/a vehicle as the sibling doesn't know the area and would still need the volunteer car.
