    I've been Money Tipped!
I have similar issues to spirit.

I do love getting lost, it's often the best way to find places really. I used to have, and think I still probably do have, a really good sense of direction. But sat nav is brilliant for navigating strange paces without the benefit of time, for finding nearest parking, for finding sensible routes when your usual one is closed.....a plethora of reasons.

I have the opinion bugs let has about sat nav about parking cameras though.

We have two of the same cars except one has the reverse distance beeper and the other does not. Normally we drive the one with the beeper but it is broken so we are driving the other one. On several occasions I have almost reversed full speed into things as without the beeping there is obviously nothing close behind...
    I think....

The Satnav is I think a great aid but can only deliver your requirements according to how you have personally set up the different requirements that we all have. If you just put in the two points that you wish to travel to from where you are at the moment,it will only work to its 'default settuings' and then numpties who take the wrong roads blame the poor Satnav.

I have driven probably close to a million miles in my lifetime driving heavy goods, coaches and cars etc (50+ yrs) and I have been so fortunate to have an inbuilt compass that hardly ever lets me down and when it does it can be so much fun getting back on course again so I can liken to lir comments.

My OH poor girl sometimes does not know her right hand from her left so some years ago, I bought her one of the very first satnav's so that she could go shopping and be sure of finding her way home.:)

The address it navigates to is home. starting from wherever I am when I realise I am lost.

The same a my OH as we used to live in Street in Somerset and my OH was forever getting herself of being unsure of where I am she would say. Sometimes she would ring me up when I was on tour to ask for directions, it was so funny maybe not for ther though. So with the Satnav she would press the home selection and off she went.;)

My favourite song last year was 'Feel the Love' by Rudimental. I loved its old northern soul vibe and crazy horns. It's a good mood song.
I loved that song! It had been in the charts for a while before I first heard it. I'm out of touch with the charts a bit.:(
Only get to hear music in the car. And that's not enough!

For reminding me of that good song, here's one you may enjoy

If you like live music Nikkster it's worth checking out the Stables in Wavendon, near Milton Keynes. A lot of what they show is the standard fare of public-run theatres across the UK, but a couple of times a year they have an absolute gem of a show. Acoustically the Jim Marshall auditorium is great (as you would expect given the name) and it's just a very nice place to hang out and have a drink and a bite too. It has a very strong jazz legacy.

Also, not far from St Pancras is the Jazz Cafe in Camden which has a fantastic artist list. You may well be familiar with these already, but just thought I'd chuck them in. Probably the biggest event coming up there is the Grandmaster Flash concert in April (they've added an extra date and tix still available).

I'll have to check out the Stables - sounds good!

I've wanted to go to the Jazz Cafe for ages, but have yet to make it. Thanks for reminding me! And for reminding me its handily near to St. Pancras :)

This morning I have found the hamster dead in its cage. DD doesn't know yet. I will have to tell her when I pick her up from school.

Apparently they are supposed to live for 2-4 years, and ours wasn't due to turn 2 until June this year, so it feels premature.

    :(

    :(

Hope it went ok breaking the news x

No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?
