Oh dear. I bet you don't sing to your shellfish while you cook them either? The shellfish song has simple lyrics, and is sung in a harmonised round.....
It goes....
'Die little fishes, die, die, die,
Die little fishes, die, die, die
Die little fishes,
Die little fishes
Die little fishes
Die......

I went to see another house tonight. I'm thinking of putting an offer in. Its not very likely to be accepted
But worth a punt I figure. Went on sale last week, and they've had a couple of offers already. Probably a family selling it on behalf of a parent, and they are apparently going to review all the offers on Monday. If I do offer, I'll be explaining how I have come to my figure, and why my position makes me a fantastic buyer etc.
It's a little terrace on a narrow street that is used as a bit of a throughway. Needs quite a lot of work doing, but the mortgage repayments would be pretty small and whilst its probably not a longer term home I can see living there for a bit, then renting it out or perhaps selling it on again working.
On the basis of the 2 houses I have looked at, there seems to be a fair bit of interest at the moment (although I am only looking at keenly priced places). I wish everyone else would stop looking!
The offering process and I don't really get along well. I just make one offer which is what I'm prepared to pay and leave it at that. It really seems to wind estate agents up as they are expecting everyone offer below what they are prepare to pay and increase from there. I really can't be bothered to do that. I also won't react to other higher offers unless the estate agent will tell me exactly what the other offer is which seems to also confuse them. Not looking forward to doing it again...0 -
I have full control of the playlist
I'm quite enjoying listening to albums again. I like listening to whole albums (well, sometimes skipping the tracks I'm not so keen on).
Ah, I do the whole albums on my laptop...in the car, the CD is set to random and it is potluck what comes on next although my player seems to have band days where it will play several from one band during the day.
It was Iron Maiden day today, Foo Fighters day yesterday. We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -

OH doesn't sing to food but she does has a dance she does when she wants cheese. It's called...the cheese dance...0 -
I tend to listen to the same album over and over for a week or so then change to another one. Sometimes I will just put one song on repeat for a day. The only thing I have mixed playlists for are running and skiing.0

We are singing to fishes. When they are dead they are food, we stop singing and start eating.
I think I like your OH though, a cheese dance is very, very good.0 -

Haha, I am a one tune and repeat too, drives dh potty at times. We have a twice only, or three times under exceptional circumstances. But we do have cheesy mix CDs for long drives.....
Which is why we arrive everywhere very happy but with slightly exhausted voices.:)0 -

There isn't much difference between what I would plan on offering and the most I would pay (£5k). I don't think they would accept my offer, but as I said I'll be explaining why I think it is fair, and for the reasons you mentioned that gives me a little higher to go.
At these two viewings I've been told there are other offers on the table, and I also find it frustrating not to know what they are (haven't pushed as doubt it'll make a difference), so I'm just calculating my theoretical offers as if they haven't been made. I would like to buy in the next few months, but there is no real pressure at the moment, so unless a really great house comes up (I don't think it will in my price bracket), I'll just keep on like this (and keep adding what I can to my deposit).0
