It's frightening just how much fuel does cost per journey these days.... if I do meet up with LIR, fuel alone will be about £10, then there'll probably be parking.

It all adds up scarily - certainly couldn't afford to be driving that far too often!

This is so true PN but there are times that you have to put the cost behind you and look upon the expense as being an investment to a friendship that you cannot really put a price on.

Treat yourself and enjoy the companionship that it will reward you. I hope that you take this advice in the way that it is meant, you deserve every penny spent on yourself;).

    I've been Money Tipped!
If its any consolation PN, I will be driving the 2 nd least efficient car in the world. Or maybe the first least efficient is in the garage still. They often give be a sort of cut and shut uber long wheel base land rover. I could host a mobile np meet up in it. :)

WE did Next vouchers at Shell but never have trouble spending £80-90 quid on diesel :(. Also popped in at the Galleria this evening when picking DW up from a birthday party and bought £100 of Gap vouchers (so if you get some for your birthday/xmas you will know why) then on to Tesco for some snap and save and clicksnap action before being a few minutes late for the pick up.

Now driving the even more thirsty petrol car as the diesel can not go in to gear...and I was thinking of blowing 60 quiidco on a memory foam mattress topper but I guess that can continue to wait...

Can't say why but please could the np pray for the michaels's this week and especially on Friday.
    I think....

@michaels - will say a prayer for you although I don't believe in God so perhaps you could advise which one as people don't like it when you use their incorrect name and I certainly don't want to upset a deity.

@viva - hope the Aussie rellies are ok. The Mary River is flooding again.

    Are we allowed to guess?

Is there a chance you could find the answer the evening before by email (hope that is cryptic enough)?

I wish your burglars nothing tragic but hope karma means they do not profit from their mean deed.

For you and your OH I hope that this move works as well as it can and you all get what you need and want from it.

The Spirit family has been out to dinner tonight to celebrate as Mr Spirit has had some good news at work. Great food, lovely chat , enough to drink as DD drove.

One of the benefits of is that he will travel less, as he will be home more he will play tennis more and see his friends more too. He will walk the dog more which is a joy for both of them. Good news all round.

Another milestone is that from 1 March our DD is giving us housekeeping. We do not need it, but that is not the point, it is that she knows living is not for free.

You must be quite a catch.

I will say a little prayer for you. Do you have a favourite one you would like?

I ask this in all seriousness as it was only after her death that we learned that my mother had a favourite prayer fortunately in time to include when needed.
