Up in the back streets of Scouseland, I get a cut and colour for £35.00, and she does a really good job!

Some not very nice people burgled our house on Friday night:(. I am now the proud possessor of an unuseable front door and a long insurance claim form; they are the proud possessors of several pieces of jewellery and somewhat peculiarly, a quarter full bag of dog biscuit?????

If you ever feel the need to depress yourself, may I suggest a trip round the local cash convertors and cash4gold emporiums:eek:?

    I've been Money Tipped!
    Oh bugslet, that's horrid.

Was the jewellery of sentimental value? The dog biscuit thing is odd......it wasn't me though!

I have a kitchen door (these things excite me) and more pipe insulation today.

I'm consoling myself with the thought they have a well-fed dog!

One of the pieces was sentimental, belongs to my OH, who went into permanant full time nursing care last week, rest of it is merely annoying.

I too will be investing in a new back door, in a penny, in for a pound.

What a dreadful shock to your system after your distressing time with your OH last week, lets hope the culprit will be caught soon and at least you may get your pieces back again.

I know where I would like to place the dog biscuits...place being a polite word.;)

A new back door is certainly a good investment to make you feel more secure, take good care of yourself.

Sorry to hear about such a dreadful thing at a bad time, have a hug from all the nice people.

Not wanting to cast aspersions on the care home or its employees but that is quite a coincidence?
    I think....

Hug from me, too. I hope all these strange blokes hugging you is okay?
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

    Just an average day GDB!

I was away on business the night it happened, so I think it was probably more likely to be someone noticing that I wasn't around.

Had you mentioned that at the care home?

I am pretty obsessed with people noticing/not that I am around/not. It's high on my wishlist to have a garage, I used to work away Monday mornings until Friday nights.... and didn't want anybody to see me packing/unpacking the car. With the car in the garage it's possible to pack/unpack surreptiously the day before/after without raising attention.

Hope you get your stuff back :(

Once my old was in a home I had the job of checking the house hadn't been burgled, flooded, burnt down .... for about 4+ months; it was horrible not being able to miss a day "in case".
