Quality training for BS5750...not once but 3 times as others kept failing!

    How unfair is that?!

Yes, hope the house selling goes well Bertie.

So its been a bit of a day for me today!
Have found out answers to a couple of fairly big things that have been hanging over me for a while even though I've been trying to ignore them.
    1. My job isn't dependent on any outstanding qualifications. Looking back I'm sure would have been made crystal clear if it was, but most things are clearer with hindsight!
    2. I have just over 6 months to resolve any outstanding qualifications. I was meaning to find out about this, but in the end I heard from the institution in question first (today). I had thought that I had missed the boat, so I am going to treat this as fate trying to give me a gentle prod.

Today is a fast day but I have treated myself to a bit of the glass of wine I had lined up for tomorrow (I was going to tackle point 1 during an already scheduled meeting tomorrow, but an opportunity arose today).

    I feel exhausted!

Thank you for your kind thoughts they are appretiated.

It would seem that your issues that you mention needed a little more thinking time before you could find a lasting resolve, similar to the old quotation of 'act in haste repent at leisure' lets hope now that your mind will be put to ease and progress with a clearer view.

The glass of wine could be considered as your reward for a good days result.

All the very best in your resolve.:)

TV is cable only and unless you go for one of the mega packages the channels are rubbish, allegedly.

We have the VPN working very easily on the iPad and apparently there is some gizmo that will let your TV mirror the iPad, so that is the net step.

You can redirect and tunnel different traffic for free, but as with most things you have to know what you are doing.

This is why companies package up the service and charge a modest fee.

    Indeed!

In my last job I would really hate to think how many hours I spent moving tubes from box to box, writing down what box they were in, moving boxes when freezers broke, retrieving samples to send bits away... and all for someone who had no idea what that all involved (and the sloppy job that had been done in the past). It also doesn't help when you have small girly hands and you're supposed to be wearing big thick leather gauntlets - and the alternative of freezer burns is preferable.

Double gloves were the way forward.

No, I don't have to do anything like that now! I was still doing all that this time last year - feels like a million years ago...

Ok, progress report for this evening.

I've enjoyed possibly the best tasting glass of wine that has ever been consumed.

I've found the notebook that covers the very last few experiments I did (thought I had lost it).

I have found a few old (and unannotated) printouts that can go straight into the recycling.

Glad to hear about the time left to complete the qual. Don't do what I did. I arranged with a London Uni to complete my qual there and then took up a full-time job and never finished it. It's very easy to get lost ina new job and let existing commitments lag behind.
I am just nervous that an amateur LL might take a dim view of changed circumstances, get jittery and issue a Section 21 :)

Daft... but so are accidental LLs :)

It has to be done; the alternative's harder.

    Income today: £0.39.

Good luck with the empire-building PN. Resilience is the key and you've got it in spades.
