I am not a nice person which is why I never employ friends. I leave it to you all to tease out the (double) meaning of that.
I had a splendid night out last night on my mate's expense account, in fact he got very slightly cross with me for buying a beer while I was waiting for him rather than putting it on his room bill! His bonus is now at its contractual maximum so he sees it as his job in life to maximise his expenses. We certainly did our bit last night drinking $30 cocktails and I dread to think what the bottle of wine cost his boss. I even managed to drink a bottle of beer that cost almost 10 quid! 'Twas a great night out and fantastic to see the old boy again.
I found out that an old mate/ex-colleague of mine is getting married just before I go back to the UK for my hols. I'm gutted that I'm missing it TBH as it'll be an amazing party if I know those guys. Gay weddings have the best receptions.
Sorry you lost your job PN. I missed your post that gave details. Can you sue the crap out of them? Can they prove it wasn't sexism/racism that they gave you the boot? It's for them to prove they weren't sexist not for you to prove they were.0 -

So pleased that you had a splendid night out last night with an old friend that is the joy of a friendship I bet you had a lot to talk about, so much so you probably missed seeing your team beating Adelaide 1.0 or did you go together?
Of course you did not go together because you met in the evening, sorry I am not awake yet.
How do you handle 'the morning after' if you had a number of cocktails I would have had a hangover that you could photograph.:(
You will be pleased to hear that our Bungalow has just gone onto the market advertised on most of the major portals so we are now ready for receiving prospective clients.
...Let the fun begin Generali..:)0 -
Well, after the sun for two days, the heavy frost has been a bit of a shock this morning!0

I literally haven't seen daylight since Tuesday so I have no idea if it has been sunny here. I hope it's not frosty though as I have to drag myself out of bed and go for a run in a minute.0 -

I hope the mission is all home related stuff rather than work.
You sound really 'into' your job which is great, it is just that you need to have R&R and worklife balance.0
