Not camels. They are n't as great as the rice ag suggests. Dh wears his cheapos all the time, and hS camels only when going to social events in wellies.0 -

Thank you Pastures!
My Twitter is not too hard to guess💙💛 💔0 -
The problem is not the species of meat I think, it's the traceability of the horses and the risk to human health if they are not fit for human consumption.
Practically at the commitee meeting for the local msic festival it was raised that the staple of burgers might nt be the best thing to offer...if this rumbles on them it could be a loss for the catering side.0 -

Hunters are fantastic but no good for working in. They're strictly walking wellies not for doing the garden.
They're properly comfy but they come at a price.0 -

I hate hunters too.
But.....the welly market has grown a lot. Hunters are still the classic, like John Lewis, but you get all sorts of wellies now. Le chameau like dh's are ridiculous price for wellies ( we didn't pay for them, pfft...obviously too tight here). I wear muckers.0 -

It could end up as a whole new BSE-type of event.0 -

Apparently there's a drug given to horses quite routinely that are kept as pets or raced for which there is no defined safe level for human consumption.
AIUI, the issue of horse being in burgers etc isn't that it's the wrong breed of meat per se but that it's not fit for human consumption.
If the meat shouldn't be there then goodness knows where it came from. That's the problem.0 -

It's not about them dying of disease even.
When vet came out for old horse he mentioned I could chuck her some bute ( one of the drugs not deemed safe) it was then for granted I would have some. No record on her paperwork etc.
Same with the horse that came last year. He was being sent to abattoir for 'meat' but has been in training and has a very minor scar. No record, but he probably had the same drug and nothing on his passport. He is young, would have made ok burgers.0 -
My roasting dish is so big it'd cover: "Serves 8-12". I now need to keep an eye out for a smaller one0

All well and good, but today I thought it'd be nice to whip up a red onion and herb yorkshire pudding.... trouble was that when i thought about the size of the results it put me off. If written as a recipe for Yorkshires it'd probably say "Serves 8-12". I now need to keep an eye out for a smaller metal dish.
If you have a muffin tray then that will make a yorkshire, so will a mini fry pan with a heat proof handle. Size isn't really important, all you need is something that will let you get the fat/oil (fat works better IME) sizzling hot before you put the batter in. That means metal realistically.0
