I have to buy wellies today. Thinking of either bright pink, or white with floral patterns. Any thoughts?

Zero rated for what? Calories? Enjoyment?

(I notice this is a topic that crops up many times in your posts - I'm wondering if chocolate body paint is a big component of the G household inflation 'basket')

I just find it a fascinating fact. Like that you could buy Penthouse but not a bible legally on Sundays under the old Sunday trading laws. Also fresh fish but if the fish was smoked you then couldn't buy it.

Actually I once went to the staff Christmas party of a famous pornographic magazine in London that a female friend of mine worked for in the offices. That was an interesting experience.

When contemplating wellies, when a NP meetup mentioned wellies might be handy .... I saw the prices and scuttled. How much??? I expected to be able to pick up a rough old pair for about £2.... I chose to save money and simply watch where I walked that day :)

I remember having wellies pre-aged-10 .... not had/needed any since.

Do you think that is standard procedure, or could the priest get into trouble? Very decent of him if he took a risk to do the warm-hearted thing in the circumstances.
I don't know. I'm not going to identify the priest or parish online, as I reckon good deeds don't deserve punishment.

Most catholic churches are too modern to have a side-chapel. The couple were regular churchgoers who wanted to get married in a church wedding but the groom's first marriage precluded that. He already had children which I think makes annulment more difficult (I think).

    Welcome Almo. :hello:

Sue, do you want said church wedding to be Roman Catholic, C of E, some other denomination, or don't mind as long as it's in a church? Arrangements for remarriage of divorcees in church vary a lot between denominations, and it may not be the impossibility that you think it would be.

    PS Avatar-dog was chipped.

Just in a church really but pref C of E, unfortunately, none of the churches around here marry divorced people.

Makes me annoyed as I didn't go outside of my marriage vows and kept true to my word, yet I will have to suffer for a husband doing the dirty.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

Can you get the marriage annulled? Bit of a long shot.

Grounds include if he had an STI at the time of the marriage or if you were drunk.

I reckon we were attending a mass with a marriage ceremony. Not a specifically catholic wedding IYSWIM. It was catholic enough to keep everybody happy but if you said was it a "proper" catholic wedding then in the eyes of some hard-hearted pedants maybe it wasn't. But, I wouoldn't go out of my way to keep people that cold-blooded happy.

The invitation didn't mention a catholic wedding or a church wedding, and the couple didn't try to claim it was one. Everybody present was delighted, and no lightning struck any participants.

I would say a very long shot!

We were married for 16 years and produced 3 children, so can't say it wasn't consumated.

Just taken a look at the grounds...and nope, none apply.

Welcome back to Britain and we all hope that your trip was successful despite your feeling not too well on the latter stages.

Speaking of interesting facts I remember hearing a quote that said...

...never stop learning - 'If you learn something new every day, you will overcome 99% of your competition'

PS Considering that English is not your native language your grasp of the English language is quite remarkable.;)

That's a very true quote, and thank you for your kind words. I'm feeling a little better than I was, however will be heading home soon, as it's cold and I'm starting to feel a little tired.

It's ridiculous! Just put a sticker on saying 'May contain horsemeat - 50% off marked price' and stick it back on the shelves.

We've unknowingly eaten and served a lot of horse, and customers have complained about the new products Tesco are forcing us to use, as they've taken the horse meat off the shelves.

I think that says it all :)
