    I don't work or live in a town - there's nothing where I am... so it'd be a special trip ... and I can't be 4rsed. Tired, very tired this week .. and last week .... :)

Not left the sofa all day.

At our previous property was like yours outside in the country surrounded mainly by livestock and each journey had to be planned not to waste time and money.

We even now will always try to have what we call 'return loads' going into town via the recycling centre before shopping is gratifying and makes the journey's worthwhile.

Your posts and those of lir today are making me feel hungry.:)

    I've been Money Tipped!
Luckily we're not hungry as though I feel fine I cannot really be bothered to cook, doesn't happen very often that I really don't want to. 'they' can have pasta pesto.

We had what was left over of the Beef Stew that I cooked in the Crock Pot on Thursday along with onions/celery/carrots then the potatoes and peas were cooked freshly before dinner. We find that a cheaper cut of meat done in the crock pot is lovely, also Ham Roasts I like to do the same way. now that there is only the two of us it makes life easier, when SB was home she would be a bit of a fussy-pants in what she ate. She says now being at Uni she is eating all the wrong things because of the timing factor, and we believe her ???:)

We are going to meet her on Monday in Southampton so it will be nice to see her again although it was only two weeks ago that we went through to Portsmouth by car, this time we will go by train to southampton by train, let the train take the strain because the forcast is not too good for Monday I believe. Enjoy the rest of the weekend.:)

    We had a vegetable bake.

Grated potatoes mixed with cheese baked to form a crust, then filled with sauted veg, carrots, parsnips, swede, leeks and cauliflower sprinkled with cheese then baked. It is a winter staple for us as all of us eat it and it is filling and comforting.

Ir was quite early for us as we had finished eating by 7pm and by way of a 'treat' ate it whilst watching Dad's Army. We don't eat on our laps very often.

Pudding will be bananas, cake pops or Christmas Pudding (really we have not eaten it yet) and custard.

In common with most Brits, I used to see stews as being winter food. Over here though I often use the slow cooker on hot days as it doesn't heat the house up so beef stew has now become a summer favourite, especially for when the temperature goes above 30C.

I find a bit of bacon in a beef stew works very well and stops the meat from drying out. Also a generous teaspoonful of redcurrant jelly gives a really good depth to the sauce and even a little bit of sugar will do the same job.

Even more of a quandry for James......he now has 4 conditional offers.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

Congratulations to you both, when SB made her final choice of Uni' she made out a list of what each of them had to offer without naming which had which, and went for the one that she considered ticked the most boxes and so far she is so happy that my wife and I are totally relieved and also very happy.

I will mention it to SB when I see her on Monday. All the best to you both with the final choice.

He really is torn now, two of the four who have offered are his number 2 and number 3 choices...both of which were at one point, his first choice!

He still has the interview to go for NUA (formerly NUCA), his first choice, later on this month....he will be over the moon if they offer.

James has such a vast field to choose from if I remember rightly it was choices of Film - Television and Entertainment Technology what a difficult choice but what oppertunities wow.

PS How are you and the Ford Ghia getting along ? ;)

PPS..With James's first choice he could rub sholders with none other than John Hurt who will be the University’s first Provost this Autumn.

I'm not going to bore you with the detail of what I had for supper - part healthy and part not so healthy - but I am 50 calories over my allowance for today. So, I've got to do a few minutes on the treadmill before turning in.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?
