I'm not going to bore you with the detail of what I had for supper - part healthy and part not so healthy - but I am 50 calories over my allowance for today. So, I've got to do a few minutes on the treadmill before turning in.

Calories at the weekend don't count. :D That's my excuse for eating about 3 chocolate brownies made of melted chocolate and butter.

Typing burns 100 calories/hour.... a good reason to have stayed on the NP thread.

    Hmmm. A spicy meal tonight.:j
Popadoms with dips. Masala dosa. Chili and onion pakoras.
Chicken, Lamb, lentil and vegetable curries with rice and half a naan.
£14 per head. At ndg's favourite restaurant on the Strand.

The hidden one that's jup a close and can't be seen from the street. No BBC types in tonight. It must be very close to where gen once worked.

I worked in Aldwych for a brief period years ago. That's the closest to The Strand I worked. Goldmans are mostly around the east end of Fleet St and St Paul's. I used to go to The Savoy for Sunday lunch quite a lot (every other month or so). On a particularly memorable Bank Holiday I was paid double time on my day rate of almost £300/day for approximately 20 minutes work. We went to the Savoy to celebrate that event during the middle of my day :).

The hedge funds were in and around Mayfair in the ghetto.

Even more of a quandry for James......he now has 4 conditional offers.

Stating the obvious, but apparently half of students don't, make sure the insurance offer is lower that the main offer. (Unless favoured choice is lowest offer)

To my mind it is now a lottery time - balancing where you prefer to go against the grade offers to cover yourself. Remind him that he chose all these courses because he wanted to do them, so the decision between them is marginal.

We went to the Savoy for dinner, but only once. There was a restaurant with a dance floor, and DW and I made our usual foolish but enjoyable attempt at dancing. We don't know any of the right steps. The food was not that impressive - grit in the salad, for example. In fact, apart from that, the food was completely unmemorable.

Congratulations to you both, when SB made her final choice of Uni' she made out a list of what each of them had to offer without naming which had which, and went for the one that she considered ticked the most boxes and so far she is so happy that my wife and I are totally relieved and also very happy.

I will mention it to SB when I see her on Monday. All the best to you both with the final choice.
I'm delighted for James and wish him good luck in making his decision.

Last time I made a choice of where to move to was the mid-80s. I was living near where one of the NPs is now. I put "Cities" by Talking Heads on my turntable while looking at my application form.
Probably best if he take it more seriously than me!:D

To make things harder for him, 3 out of the 4 are the same requirements!
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.
