Morning NP, and I have an interesting fact this morning, that I think requires some intervention by the NP. Please excuse my spelling, as I'm on iPhone at the moment, as I'm out with girls for breakfast, then taking them to the zoo. (Will tell you where when I get home), whilst OH is cash and carrying.

'Ukrainian is not based on Russian. It is a language that evolved from the one spoken in Kievan Rus, which has its roots in modern day Bulgaria.'

I honestly didn't know this, despite having lived in Georgia for 9 years, Russia for 4.5 years and Ukraine for a stint of about 18 months, in my younger years working for a TV channel.

    Any thoughts here?

Welcome back to Britain and we all hope that your trip was successful despite your feeling not too well on the latter stages.

Speaking of interesting facts I remember hearing a quote that said...

...never stop learning - 'If you learn something new every day, you will overcome 99% of your competition'

PS Considering that English is not your native language your grasp of the English language is quite remarkable.;)

I went to the wedding of a workmate who was remarrying (his wife had divorced him many yars ago). The service was in a RC church and officiated by the local RC parish priest. The couple pointed out later that because the ceremony was in a chapel at the side of the main church it was allowed. A lot of the guests probably thought they'd attended a straightforward Catholic wedding.
Admittedly they were regular churchgoers who knew the priest very well -it meant a lot to them.

They seemed very happy with it, and we were all pleased for them.

Do you think that is standard procedure, or could the priest get into trouble? Very decent of him if he took a risk to do the warm-hearted thing in the circumstances.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

I don't want to come over all eco-warrior but I was shocked to hear about the horsemeat food being destroyed.

Seeing as how my dog has apparently the same carbon footprint as a VW Golf I hope that when they said destroyed they really meant recycled for animals to eat otherwise our hungry-mouthed pets will eat our planet to a climate disaster.

    Rant over!

It's ridiculous! Just put a sticker on saying 'May contain horsemeat - 50% off marked price' and stick it back on the shelves.

Zero rated for what? Calories? Enjoyment?

(I notice this is a topic that crops up many times in your posts - I'm wondering if chocolate body paint is a big component of the G household inflation 'basket')
    I think....

My quantum mechanics is really, really rusty, but I think that you need to define what you mean by empty in terms of probability.

Anyway, I'm hoping that Lydia will be along in a minute to rescue me from this hole I have just dug.

I mean this is something I read on the internet once which I now trot out as a fact.

Surely quantum physics tells us that you only know you're in the bottom of a hole when you measure where abouts in the hole you are.:D
