Wondering if friends in Civil Partnerships will 'upgrade' to marriage or stay as they are?

    What do NP think?

Personally I think all registery office marriages should be 'civil ceremonies' accorded the same rights as 'marriage' and marriage given like a bone to the dog of various religions and groups to do what they want with. So some religious groups can say yes, others no, and any one who wants to can have a civil ceremony then a humanist 'marriage' or religious one, or a Jedi one, or a klingon one.

So long as the conjoining by ceremony is a choice not a default I jus think the state should insist on a legal solution that is applicable to all, and let the rest of us do with that or sort ourselves out for the rest.

Near is such a relative term.
Increasingly, I measure a journey not on miles/time, but on cost.

The ever upward creep of fuel, plus the maintenance/ownership costs mean that even driving to the supermarket to look for whoopsies (4 miles return) means it'd be madness to do that as the cost of a speculative drive would mean you;'re fooling yourself.

I think you're right.... roads are slower here than in Cornwall.... Google says 40-60 minutes :)

I'm the other side of the green stuff.... the green stuff I've not yet been to/visited/driven through.

Traffic in the green stuff can be tortuous too. We all ways go through rather than round because.....well...it's got cute donkeys and piggies, and cowies and ponies and everything.

The ponies, piggies and donkeys will mug nice peeps for their picnics. I love ginger beer.

I think I may have said I before....but I am not sure...forgive me for being repetitious...but the office Christmas 'do' is a lunch in a green stuff pub, followed by a 4-5 mile walk around the green stuff whatever the weather, then return to pub for drinks.

Brockenhurst has a railway station and good connections to London.

Ok, well that rules out Bradford and frome.

Marlborough has a serious shortage of bungalows as has Pewsy and not having a large capital I will be not lucky benough to live in these two lovely locations.

I like the sound of Devizes and I think that I would blend in there quite well as I love quaint towns.;)

SB went to Brock' College and really enjoyed her time there and yes it has a good Rail Service to London just over the hour and a wee bit.
